1- A long time ago, and I mean really long, about 10 years, WildBill worked on a quest that used (I think) the predecessor of the Pure Tileset. Pure Tileset wasn't released back then, and the graphics looked a lot like those from the Pure Tilesets. Does anyone know which quest I'm talking about, and do you still have that file somewhere?

2- Another quest I'm looking for is the Mystic Land demo by PrinceMSC. I googled, but all links to the file are dead. Again, does anyone have that file around somewhere?

3- Nick once worked on a quest that used the Pure Tileset and was made when combo cycling was just introduced. It had a forest or jungle themed temple with falling floor tiles. Do you know which quest I'm talking about?

1-I vaguely remember that. That was when I was a noob.

2-Looked around. Same deal

3-Wasn't that one Amulet of Anubis? I could be wrong on that.

One I've been looking for is the remake of a Link to a Different Dimension using sludge's mini-LttP set.

Hmmm... the biggest problem here is that most people who were active back then no longer frequent these forums, so even if someone does

have a copy floating around, its unlikely they'd even see this thread. I've only been here or about 8 years(only?) so I don't even remember any of those quests except ML.

I have all 3 of those things sitting around somewhere. I can't get them at the moment since I have to go through my backups, but I'll give more details about them.

  1. You might be thinking of (not-so)Monthly Zelda. This actually came out after Pure Tileset came out. If you are not thinking of Monthly Zelda, then you are thinking of Conquest for Power (which was definitely before). The unfortunate thing about the latter is you can't play it in 2.50 and probably not even 1.92 182 without turning on cheats and jiggling Link around a tiny bit to get past the title screen. Chain of Destiny suffers from the same thing.
  2. I definitely have this somewhere.
  3. Who the hell is this Nick guy? I have it... along with a crapton of other unfinished stuff. But thanks to a few things I did before dropping it, it's currently not in a playable form.

I'll try to get the first 2 things uploaded this weekend. I could easily just give you Conquest for Power since it's in a place where basically any Site Staff member can retrieve it, but it would be unplayable as it is unless you use an ancient ZC version. :(

Edit: I found an old test recording video I did of the entirety of (not-so)Monthly Zelda. It's really short since the quest was meant to be part of a monthly installment that used the same save file (similar to BS Zelda).

Monthly Zelda

I also found an old test video I did of part of the first dungeon of Conquest for Power. It's worth noting the recording is from private beta that had a lot more done to it than the public demo that was released. The public demo (which will probably be what I upload) had 3 dungeons.

Conquest for Power

Once again, I'll try to upload quest files this weekend.

Videos! And blatant editing!

Ah yes, you got them all right.

Conquest for Power is the quest I was talking about. It was this mix of Revenge 2 and (what would be) Pure, which I totally loved for its graphics and awesome music.

What was Monthly Zelda about again? Wasn't it supposed to be a demo that got released every month? It didn't last long

I've upload Mystic Land out on my skydrive... So, hopefully you can download it. Also there isn't a password on the quest so have at it. :)

Oh, thanks! I've been wanting to play this again for quite a while.

It's interesting to see that the overworld is all the same palette, I didn't expect that with its variety of areas.

Sorry for the delay. Here is a bundle containing Conquest for Power Demo 3 and the only release of Monthly Zelda.

Apparently I was wrong about the title screen not working for Conquest for Power in 2.50.
