I'm coming up to the end of a term here, played New Quest, set up a bounty, and generally finding a few creepy crawlies related to versions, so I'm going to take a week and update James Quest up to ZC 2.50 standards.

Some things I want to do:

1.  Implement the Demo Quest Tileset

2.  Take care of bugs that might have crept up.

3.  Add a challenge dungeon, a.k.a. Level 11 of New Quest.

If you have any suggestions except for toning down the difficulty, post here.

I've got a suggestion: Instead of a "LV11" like new quest you should use 2.5 to make it more interesting, otherwise you just end up with it degenerating into lots of "all the hard" enemies on every screen. Get's tedious. ... For example: You can add a script that removes all items and resets Links HP to 8 hearts when you first enter LV11. Then you can get creative. Cheers.

item script UseSword {
  void run() {
    if(Game->GetCurLevel() == 11) {Link->HP -= 2;}}}

I remember playing "James Quest" last year after completing "The Liberation of Hyrule" and "Armageddon Quest". Unfortunately I could never figure out what to do in level 8. I tried to use my whistle in every room, bomb every known wall, walk through every wall, and push every block I could think of. I just couldn't figure out what to do in that dungeon. Also, I couldn't figure out how to get the triforce piece at the end of level 7. I don't know if the version of Zelda Classic I was using has anything to do with this. I was playing the original "James Quest" with on version 2.5 RC3.

Anyways, I am looking forward to this remastered version of "James Quest".
