Hi. The first quest I finished was Temple Runner, a stupid non-zelda like quest with no enemies and no overworld. The first real quest I released was Tower of Shadows, a really cool zc quest made in a 2.5 build. The Tower of Shadows is the central dungeon that you have to enter, before and after each main dungeon. The screen design in my first quest is not very nice so I usually don't like to share this quest around.. ![]()

The very first quests I made in about 2002 had no name, they were entirely LoZ type without any customization, since I didn't even know about tilesets or online community or anything. Their strong points were the unique dungeon entrances.
My first serious quest was Shadow Wars in 2006, on ZC2.10.0, still in databases all over. For some odd reason, I couldn't make THAT unique dungeon entrances like 4 years before that, and I was really wondering why.

First Zquest I made was called "Ganon's Revenge" when I was 11 years old. I actually have a newfirst upgraded version which I may or may not add to the database. It was originally an LOZ quest, with missing secret combo and/or under combo tiles.

It can be found in the link above, called "Link to Hyrule Mountains". It's terrible, and I don't even think it can be completed. My brother uploaded it as his own quest, since I had been repeatedly banned from AGN at the time.

Fixed the typo in the title for ya. ![]()
The first quest I ever made was Light of the Heavens. I'd started various projects before, but never finished them. LotH, on the other hand, was made for a two week contest, and after everybody started dropping out, I was incredibly determined to finish it in the time limit. It's... not a very good quest, really. It's got some good ideas, but as you might expect for something made in such a short time frame, it's not very polished.

My first quest was Trouble At Ganonco. I was really just seeing if I could learn ZQuest using BikdipOnABus' tutorial, and I didn't plan on making it a full quest. But after making a few levels and about a half overworld, it was turning out pretty well, so I finished it.

My absolutely first thing I made was a simple test quest using the classic tileset, while watching Teamudf's Youtube tutorials
. Deleted it a long time ago... Never finished it...
The next thing was supposed to be a big quest using PTUX. Yeah, right...lol. Never got anywhere, but I made a few cool things and I learned something
.
And then... The Giant Pig. Yeah, it's made in classic, and I've actually gotten somewhere, but... oh I don't wanna talk about it lol. I've put down a lot of effort into it, but I really don't feel like continuing on it anymore...
So... yeah... I'm a quitter... Btw, I started with ZC and ZQ in februari/march this year.
I really need to get my act together and actually finish something...

My very first quest that wasn't me just goofing with the editor was something called 'Link's Adventure' or something like that. It was a rip-off of Link's Treasure Hunt in terms of the set-up. It was also awful and horribly buggy. Aaaand I never released it. >_>
My first, fully released quest was Kamala's Tomb. I'm not entirely proud of it, though I've been slowing chipping away at an update for the thing to polish it up some so I can at least be happy with it.

It's not very good. I attribute this to the fact that I had no internet access whatsoever during the entirety of its development cycle, thus nobody could really tell me it... wasn't really suited for release yet.
Admittedly, as well, I rushed it massively. I felt as if it was holding me back, as I'd picked up another quest project using the Revenge 2 tileset ("Ocarina of Wisdom", a horribly blatant ripoff
) and was much more satisfied with how that was progressing. I picked Ocarina up in 2006 again, only to drop it because my skills had massively progressed and I felt as if the difference between 2003 and 2006 design would be too stark. (This was after I'd completed the first two levels of A Link to the Shadows and tossed up a demo for it, in fact! I hardly worked on that from late 2005 to 2007 and I generally consider that a dry age in ZC for me. Ocarina is where I basically learned the ropes. The overworld still wasn't very good, though... though I never did claim I'd finished it.)
I actually do not believe QTT is completable. I've debated applying bugfixes to it, but... that would ruin it in a way, to me. (Seriously, compare this to ALTTS. Quantum leap in quality. The biggest reason I haven't disowned this thing is because I love how it can be shown as an example of one's capability to improve.) It's a shame it turned out as it did, kind of. I had a bunch of ideas, but I just... cut a lot out of it because I felt like I was being held back. My whole "hey, I can do THIS! And try THIS!" mindset from 2003 is something I sorely miss, though.
I still want to remake it sometime. My big issue is... well, these days, the finished product might as well just be called a sequel, with how the first one turned out. I could keep the 5x5 overworlds and dungeon shapes... but even then, would it even be recognizable as the same thing in any shape, provided I didn't just basically toss around blank screens again?

For me That Would Be Hooded Samus.

The first quest I've ever made was Legend of Link 1, and before anyone asks, no there will never be a Legend of Link 2, because I don't want to continue that horrific disgrace of a quest. Compare that to my Amy Rose series, Amy Rose 1 is probably better by 100x (but that's my opinion on it). Anyway, my first real completed quest was probably The Quest of Beings made with 2.10 seeing how Legend of Link 1 was kind of an experimental quest to see how well I can manage, didn't go very well but Quest of Beings made up for it.

Mini.qst was my first. It gives you no guidance and starts out slow with multiple layer errors. As I learned how to use zquest, it gets better, and by the end of the game it picks up quite a bit in terms of design. There's a sky world and an underground world, no triforce pieces and no ganon battle. I don't think it has a password, so check it out if you want to see the later stuff without playing through it.
