For some reason, I find it really hard to work on my projects without people talking about the things I'm working on. I was wondering if there were a vent/teamspeak/mumble server that you guys frequent. It would be pretty nice to know more about who makes and plays Zelda Classic. :lazy:

Well, we used to have a Mumble server (well, still do).  But it sort of died off. :(

As Gleeok pointed out, your best bet is our IRC chat room, #PureZC.  Under community, there is a link to the chat room.  It's always there, and people are in there every day.  Sometimes people talk about ZC, and that's always fine, even though most of the time people are just talking about stuff in general or just taking it easy.  As for mumble and teamspeak, people have used them, but they have always been short lived before dying out.  People do occasionally talk on skype, but there is nothng organized about it, unlike the IRC channel.

When I clicked on this topic, I must say I had no idea what I was walking into. Lol But I must say the message within the topic was actually in interesting discussion starter.

I would like to take the opportunity to admit that I feel the same, and quite often too, but I don't much show it because I believe that while gaining attention for our projects is a positive motivator, it can harm us when that hunger for attention becomes a need, and it is a sure fire way to attract negative attention, which is not desirable for anybody who is making a project that they want taken seriously.

But I do believe it is a natural human drive to desire attention and company, and should be addressed in moderation and in a way that does not disturb the normal flow of things.

But now it's getting late, and I knows I'm typing this message half focused, so I'm gonna call it a night. Goodnight.

It's the feeling that you're working on something for someone else that you're looking for. It is a really good motivator.

That's why I talked to friends who were working on their own things about it and streamed my progress to my friends so they can be interested in it. Both of them are total strangers to Zelda Classic, but for things like aesthetics and how it looks on paper, any schmuck can help you out.

So yeah, find people to chat, anyone will do. For bonus points, keep close friends in the know so they can help contribute to your projects. (By which I mean it's now their burden as well.)
