HappySet 2.50 Project

Introduction: Back in January 20th of 2005 a tileset known as HappySet v1.03 was released by a user named HappyPuppet. It was considered one of the greatest tilesets on the database for it's time. The quest's graphics had custom palettes and the tiles were inspired by various other tilesets. And to this day, still has 4 stars. Now today, it comes to 2.50 so everyone can still use this beast of a tileset.

Personal Opinion: I ADORE this tileset. I'm rather sad that nobody else has done this yet, because the HappySet tileset is my absolute favorite tileset of all time, not lying. Before I signed up to PureZC, I first played X-Flakes 2 from downloading it on purezc.com

New Features:
Enemies from 2.50 will be added.
Items from 2.50 will be added.
Additional Link sprites.
Custom tiles.
Additional new palettes.
Layered trees and other objects.

Tell me what you guys think about it right now, constructive criticism is always nice too. icon_smile.gif

Completed changes will be in bold.

Disclaimer: This will be a thing for sure, since joke quests and shots seem to be a popular thing now.

...WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ALL OF US?!

As General Pepper would say, "Good Luck!"

I'm bringing an all-time favorite tileset into the world of 2.50. :)

Thanks!

You guys may be kidding, but it's probably the most custom tileset out there, in regards to everything being handdrawn, and isn't a horrible mesh of graphics from all sorts of games XP. It may look a bit derpy, but at least all of the graphics are original, even if they were inspired by other games. If you really are doing this, I suggest fixing the perspective and depth issues the tiles have, while retaining the style.

This is a project.

Although, I'm strongly against people focusing more on graphical appeal more than actual game development. Go ahead spriters and choke me but not every ZQuester posses that kind of skill plus it takes time. A lot of time. Remember, Zelda Classic is nothing more than a hobby and we make quests for fun - that is the core reason why Zelda Classic exists IMO. But of course, that can't stop the reviewer from saying that there is style clash. If you truly want to make your quest not style clash than that's 101% fine but do it only if it's fun for you to do and do it for entertainment value not to do it for the sake of it. Not everyone's source of entertainment is creating tilesets. That's my two cents.

EDIT: I won't be touching any existing tiles. I'm merely going to just upgrade this 2.50 and add in a few new tiles and palettes.
