I just installed a nVidia GTX 560 that was sitting on my PC desk for months. (I didn't realize I had enough mole connectors off the PSU for it.)

All I have to say is how smooth my skin is...

I mean, I can't believe how smooth games are runnng. What a difference it made. I got up at that point and found a brick where I was sitting.

What kind of cards ever made you:

I used to have an nvidia 8800 GTS in my old comp, but now I'm running a GTX 670. It's been doing great, though recently it's been reaching shit like 90+ celcius, so I've RMA'd it and I'm waiting for a new one. It's a hardware error, I'm pretty sure, but other than that, it's a great card.

One word: cooling. Get fans for your case - Not having fans placed around your card will result in high temps like that; at the least you should have the idle temps lower than 50C.

...Oh, and NVIDIA cards can't be overclocked as much as AMD cards. Also you might need to clean the case of dust.

Having enough connectors on the PSU isn't the only thing you should be checking, please post the +12v specs listed on the side of the power supply.

Tell that to my GTX460 running at the same clock speeds a 560Ti runs at (and gets within 10% of the 560's framerates.) icon_razz.gif

It really depends on who actually manufactures the card; I've had good luck with Zotac and EVGA has been great.

There's nothing wrong with my cooling, nor the ambient temp in my room. The card is also more or less completely free of dust. But as I said I've already got it RMA'd. I read online that a couple of other people have had very similar issues with the same card, so it's most likely a production error.

I know I've been needing to upgrade my Video card, my card is pretty damn old and its a piece of shit... Can't even handle Skyrim. <__<

I know the New card I'm getting is a XFX ATI Radeon HD 6670. I know it might not be the best but its the best I can get for the money. icon_razz.gif

It would still be good to post your PSU specs as the use of Molex connectors instead of the 6pin power plug is a good sign that your PSU is either fairly old or cheap.

Well I've placed an order for a new Video Card a few days ago... It wasn't the XFX ATI Radeon HD 6670, It was out of stock.
The one I bought was a EVGA GeForce GT 630 1GB http://www.evga.com/...=01G-P3-2631-KR

This will be the first Nividia Card I have bought it a long time. The last one I bought was a MX4000, lol.

So anyone here used the 630 and would be tell me what they thought of said card?

No clue about the Geforce 630, though I can say the Geforce MX4000 was an amazing card <3

My card has been showing some issues with the current version of WoW... some tearing sometimes. Nothing a driver update or option fiddle didn't fix.

Like a shouted in the shoutbox, I've gotten my GeForce GT 630 and I'm very pleased with it. :)
It's very quiet and it runs all of my games I have right now at high settings, I haven't tried Skyrim with it yet. But I've heard that I should be able to get around 40-FPS on High settings with this card, So I'm looking forward to trying it out.

I have to say the GeForce GT 630 was well worth the $65!.

Hey all, I hope this thread is not too old for a new post. I've been away awhile.

Anyways, I have an EVGA GTS 450 that was Factory OCd to 822 MHz. I love this card. I paid $150 for ir two years ago, and it still plays everything I throw at it. I even have Skyrim running at 30+ FPS with Ultra settings on 1366 x 768 Resolution (My HDTV)
