As you know, we have recently began to accept applications for the position of "Local Moderator." There were, in all, 23 applications made before the deadline, which was quite the impressive turnout, but, unfortunately, we can only pick four of you. We want to thank those who did for taking the time to apply and offer your services in the moderation of this site, but now, it's time to announce our four picks for the positions.

(On a brief aside, I would also like to direct everyone's attention to this post detailing the new consequences system active as of now. It's relevant cuz our mods need to know this system but I'm not trying to take away from their spotlight trust me.

I was browsing a thread, when suddenly I noticed something looked different. "Wait, it isn't supposed to show their IP addre- HOLY S***". This was followed by a bunch of noises I really don't know how to describe and, in retrospect, no sane person should ever make.

When I heard that the moderators were chosen and I wasn't among them, I felt the tiniest pang of self-pity. But then I saw who was chosen, and I realized that had I been the one choosing the new mods, I wouldn't have had it any other way. Staff made the right choice.
