So I've released two quests now, approaching a third. And while I've been surprised by the positive reception they've got, I'll freely admit, they're nowhere near perfect. I feel like they're far less than what they could be, yet at the same time, I don't know how to fix them. Partially because nobody ever tells me what I do wrong; NoeL's the only person I can think of who took the time to write a detailed post explaining what he thought my biggest flaw was.

So, in an effort to make my future quests better, I'm just gonna ask outright. What don't you like about my quests. Don't hold back, be blunt. If you hated them, say it. Just please, tell me why you didn't like it. What about it don't you like. If you could change something about my games, what would it be? Just go all out, and I'll try to address as much as I can in my future work.

Well, you know most of my thoughts bro, but I guess I'll put them out there publicly: I side with NoeL as far as the multiple dead-ends go, although I didn't really notice or mind while playing it till it was pointed out. Make sure your screens are sufficiently walkable and don't require too much movement to get around; I had some minor issues with this in both LotH DX and SiB. Watch your enemy placement... you're a bit cruel, which isn't necessarily a bad thing in quests, but sometimes it can be a bit too much. Although your Darknut count is about perfect as long as you have spin attack enabled; much easier to kill them that way. It's some of your Wizzrobes that kill me both literally and metaphorically... And the true final boss of LotH DX was a bit ridiculous towards the end as well (not the last part, but before it). Lastly, watch for confusing triggers. They're not rampant, but at least one of your bosses I had no clue how to proceed in (Lucis, the tornado portion) until you told me what to do in that stage. There might have been another suggestion I had, but this is all that comes to mind right now. Other than that, your work, what little of it I've seen so far, is solid. icon_thumbsup.gif
