For those that remember, here is a video I released a long time ago for the trial intro level to my game:

Now we have a new demo giving you a look at some robot master weapons, Rush upgrade and the main event: a battle with the fully upgraded Centaur Man. This is not your average Mega Man 6 Centaur Man! Enjoy:

Centaur mans pellet shots automatically miss? Shouldn't they be about 8 clicks due south so you have to jump over them instead?

Otherwise looks good.

Actually in the original MM6 game, they do indeed go over your head. His arm cannon was just that high up. lol So we tried to keep true to that aspect of Centaur Man.

Quite loving it DFW! I've actually been playing the Megaman games the last couple months. Finally got to Wily in MM3, just gotta beat him, then onto 4. 6 more original MM games to go after 4. Can't wait though. This looks great! icon_biggrin.gif

It looks pretty slick, although I am a fan of the charged Mega Buster shot. As awesome as MM2 was, I don't think it was due to the lack of a charged Buster.

The levels certainly do invoke a sense of familiarity on various screens. If that was your goal, then I guess it's a good thing.

Suggestions:

1. I think you'll find that having Rush fall through the floor is more efficient than having him attempt to materialize, then return to the "sky" on a failed attempt. The way you have it now takes a second or two longer, and while your way matches the MM3 animation, I believe they changed it to have him fall through the floor in MM4 and 5.

2. The stage select looks awkward with Megaman slightly off-center. I'd suggest a different layout -- one that puts Megaman in the center of the screen, even if he isn't centered vertically. Also, there's no need to have Megaman's head AND the Dr. W stage icon. Remember how they did it in Megaman 3?

P.S. - What's up with the title? Isn't that the same title that Transformers 2 used?...
Anyway, I would definitely like to try your fan game once it's finished. Nice job following through and finishing a preliminary working level. icon_thumbsup.gif

As for the stage selection screen, it is going to remain that way. Megaman's head is going to represent the intro stage, so if you select that, you replay the intro stage, the only reason you'd want to do that is to pick up some extra tanks. As for Dr. Wily logo being next to him, I'd need that there too, because it serves dual purposes. If you manage to find one of the three secret exits in the 10 robot master levels, his logo changes to that of a hidden robot master and you can select him as an extra level to complete, otherwise it'll reset after selecting any other robot master and become Dr. Wily again. So the setup is like that for a reason.

And as for transformers, DAMN IT PEOPLE! I actually had this game in the works plus its working title long before T2 came out in theaters, they just published their title first. That's all. The reason my title exists is for totally different story purposes than theirs. There is no robot that is stupidly named: 'the fallen.' Its a dumb name for a robot anyway. It basically means: Revenge of the fallen robot masters you've previously defeated. They are coming back to get their revenge on you. That's what the title means.

Its a good ways off from any sort of release or beta play. So it'll definitely be next year sometime. So don't expect anything this year. So far, 2 levels are complete. 18 more to go! lol

Truly wonderful work DFW! icon_biggrin.gif I can't wait to see the finished product when it gets to be done. I like the additions of the conveyors and the beams. icon_smile.gif That's just wicked awesome! You could damn near make fresh Mega Man games for Capcom.

Once we finish the robot master stages and we're working on the Wily stages, (basically when the game is almost done), I'll probably release a demo with just the intro level playable. What do you all think?
