Peril of Rectangle Country

As you may or may not know, I'm what some people would call "lazy", "unmotivated", or "asshole". The last one has nothing to do with this. I wasn't gonna make a thread here, but I felt that this is going nowhere and I thought this would help me keep on track. Well enough about me.

Story.
A few decades ago, evil monsters roamed Sphere World. One day, am anonymous hero came from either nowhere, or that one town nobody cares about, and banished all the evil into a stone inside the Stone Chasm. Though, there was a hole in which the monsters could escape. This was a problem, so he stuck his sword in there (this sword being non-magical, mind you.) to seal them off. About 100 years later, a boy named Yarg wakes up, and talks to the Sleepy Advice Guy. He tells Yarg he had a crazy dream about monsters haunting the land, and the directions of a maze path, sorta. Yarg then goes to the Stone Chasm, released the sword, and all the monsters escape. Now, he won't rest until the 8 most powerful monsters are destroyed. Though, if you get bored and shut off ZC for a while, I guess he does rest up a bit. He roams Sphere World and Rectangle Country in search of these monsters. There is no romance involved in this plot, sorry ladies.

So this is your main quest now? Ok then good luck with it, the only important thing is to finish it. I never played a gray0scale quest so far.

I also claim a reward for guessing that the second screen in the first column (from up) is the one that won't be in.

Also, cool storyline. I like it how Yarg releases all of the monsters. Is there a final boss? And btw, I like the colors.

He won a donut that I threw in the recycling bin on accident.

And yeah, there is gonna be a final boss, I just don't wanna spoil it. And by that, I mean that I have no clue what it should be, seeing as there's really nothing to build off of. Hell, There might even be a Level 9. They'll probably good ending triggers, and optional.

It looks pretty promising, and rather interesting. The screens are nice, and the palette colours are fitting as well. Keep up the good job.

Multiple endings? Would be great. As for the final boss, if you can kill the monsters in free order, a final boss isn't neccessary. Or, it could be the Sleepy Advice Man. Maybe he told Yarg to pull out the sword to release the monsters and is mad at Yarg for later killing them.

That's actually a good idea, maybe that guy could really be a demon or something...

That could work in a way. He gets stronger with every monster perished or something. I dunno. The final boss could be a Red Octorok for all I care at the moment. I don't wanna think ahead too much or I won't be able to finish the quest.

Well, he should grow more and more powerful if you follow what I said, since he would want them to live and destroy... unless Yarg is instructed to take the sword exactly to kill them then...
But you say you don't want to think ahead, so okay then, it's enough to think about it when the first 8 monsters are laid.
Red octorok as final boss? Heh, reminds for my first quest where a gel is the final boss.

heh. That was just a joke, really. The final boss will be epic-ish. Or just epic.
And by the way, you do gotta do the dungeons in order. I suppose you can get the item from 1, go out, do some more stuff, but it'll be not possible to finish without the previous dungeon. Mainly because of that one script I plan on using, with the custom keys. I believe Lucario/Matthew made it.

I guess the... ehh this is hard... the 2nd, no... the 5th maybe... the 3rd screenshot is not in this quest. And I would like to get that thrown away donut for it. Food is food, right?

More seriously, this quest look quite promising. Screen design is very good, and you got everything nicely planned.
