I'm gonna guess level 4 is where level 3 was in the first quest, considering you need the ladder to get there

mmm..! you may be right , I was there before but need the bow or boomer and had to get out to get it,, will retur today,,, that dungeon need to use the candle to much,,!

I know I answered this in a PM, but I just saw this.  I swear I thought I "followed" this thread.  Following again...

 

Anyways, for anyone else that wants the answer:  You should be able to go Up from your where you are at on that map. The gimmick in that level was that it would sidewarp you to a vertical warps. So stick to the right side.  And you should be able to enter the room that is one screen right and one screen up to get to the Lava rooms...

I just have to say the silver arrow room in Level 9 might be the worst room I've ever tried to conquer in ZC.   A single room may cause me to ragequit.   Or reverse the controls so they're right.   Ye gods.  

 

I've really enjoyed this game for the most part but there have been moments in Levels 6, 8 and 9 that just about had me ready to take a sledgehammer to something.

Great quest but I'm stuck with the first dungeon! Is there anywhere to buy a key and candle in the overworld? Do I need to burn a bush inside the dungeon to proceed? I've tried bombing everywhere: please help!

The candle is found in Level 1.  You can't buy candles or keys in this game.  Most likely you need to head left and solve some puzzles, but it depends on how far you are in the level.  Bombs are not needed as well. 

 

But yeah,  TK8305 has an LP on it if you need immediate assistance...

 

I should do a director's commentary/playthrough on the game soon just to have it. LOL
