(hope i didn't double post i'm rather new.)

I don't know what most items do can somebody tell me or send me to a list or something because i couldn't find anything about the items.

I think i got an upgrade for the ladder too. which makes no sense to me because the ladder seems the same as ever.

The ladder upgrade would be the four-way ladder, allowing you to cross gaps in any direction instead of only being able to go straight across. I couldn't tell you about the other items though, I haven't played Randomizer.

Active Items

• First Sword on the top: Your standard sword.
• Second Sword on the top row: Shoots sword beams in Up, Down, left and Right.
• Third Sword on the top row: Shoots 5 sword beams in the direction you are facing.
• Fourth Sword on the top row: Shoots 3 closely-packed together sword beams at the same angle in the direction you are facing.
• Fifth Sword on the top row: Sends 4 sword beams in a single line in front of you.
• Hammer (6th item on the top row): Your standard hammer. Upgrades to produce a bomb explosion that damages enemies upon impact.
• Boomerang (1st item on second row): Your standard boomerang. Upgrades to Fire Boomerang and then to a Boomerang that causes a bomb explosion that damages enemies on impact (this feature is a bit buggy though).
• Chakram (2nd item on second row): Is thrown similar to a damage-only boomerang that pierces enemies. Can upgrade to produce fire.
• Hookshot (3rd item on the second row): Your standard Hookshot.
• Ball and Chain (4th item on second row): Swings a large ball around you that deals a large amount of damage to enemies.
• Bait (5th item on second row): Your standard Bait.
• Roc's Feather (last item on second row): Your standard Roc's Feather
• 1st Bomb on 3rd row: Your standard Bombs.
• 2nd Bomb on 3rd row: Remote Bombs - Place one down and then use the item again to detonate it.
• 3rd Bomb on 3rd row: Super Bombs - Your standard Super Bombs.
• 4th Bomb on 3rd row: Cross Bombs - Upon explosion, they also create a cross of flames that extend past the bomb's blast radius. Despite what their size suggest, they only consume Regular Bombs
• Candle (5th item on third row): Your standard candle.
• Lantern (last item on third row): Sets a stationary flame right in front of you. Upgrades to produce flames coming out in a T formation from the stationary flame. First one consumes no magic, upgrades do consume magic.
• Bow (1st item on 4th row): Your standard ZC Bow.
• Arrow (with Bow): Your standard ZC Arrow.
• Crossbow (2nd item on 4th row): Fires multiple arrows in your direction at a time. Upgrades to fire even more arrows at a time. Consumes Arrows to fire. Unsure if this requires the Arrow item to fire or not.
• Slingshot (3rd item on 4th row): Fires weak pellets in your direction, Upgrades to fire multiple pellets at a time. They do not cost anything to fire pellets, but they have a noticeable cooldown between shots.
• Rupee Shooter (4th item on 4th row): Fires Rupees in the direction you are facing in. Upgrades to fire more Rupees at a time, each in different directions.
• Rupee Splitter (5th item on 4th row): Splits Rupees and fires them in multiple directions. Upgrades to fire Rupee shards in more directions.
• Heart Needle (last item on 4th row): Consumes a Heart and fires a very powerful bolt in the direction you are facing in.
• Wand (1st item on 5th row): Your standard ZC Wand. However, it gets upgrades that let it shoot multiple blasts of Magic at once.
• Cane of Byrna (2nd item on 5th row): Your standard ZC Cane of Bryna. It gets upgrades that let it create multiple beams that orbit the player. It consumes no Magic to use, by the way.
• Magic Book, Weapon (3rd item on 5th row): Fires a stream of Magic in the direction you are facing in. It consumes Magic. By the way, this does not grant the ability for Magic projectiles to leave fire after disappearing. It upgrades to fire more Magic projectiles in the direction you are facing.
• Power Glove (4th item on 5th row): Charges up an orb of Magic up to three times to gain power and then fires it. Charging up to the first stage is free, but charging it any further costs Magic.
• Laser Beam (5th item on 5th row): Fires a huge, highly damaging beam of magic in the direction you are facing. It leaves you sitting in position for a while, leaving you open to enemy attack. It costs a high amount of Magic to use.
• Ice Wand (last item on 5th row): Fires a weak stream of ice. This stream of ice freezes Water combos. Costs Magic to use. Upgrades for the stream of ice to travel further.
• Letter (1st item on 6th row): Your standard ZC letter.
• Life Potion (2nd item on 6th row): Your standard ZC potions.
• Magic Potion (3rd item on 6th row): Consumes magic to heal Hearts. Is very overpowered, arguably moreso than Nayru's Love, especially when you reach the lategame and Magic drops frequently.
• Recorder Whistle (4th item on 6th row): Whistle that warps you to the entrance screens of the Light and Dark Overworlds.
• Blue Ocarina (5th item on 6th row): Whistle that warps you between the locations of the 8 1st Quest Dungeons.
• Orange Ocarina (last item on 6th row): Whistle that warps you between the locations of the 8 2nd Quest Dungeons.
• Lens of Truth (1st item on 7th row): Your standard ZC Lens of Truth. Upgrades to increase the radius it can see in.
• Faore's Wind (2nd item on 7th row): Your standard ZC Faore's Wind. What is even the point of the upgrade it gets? Different tile? Different warp animation? Anyways, consumes Magic to use.
• Nayru's Love (3rd item on 7th row): Your standard ZC Nayru's Love. The upgrade extends the duration of the barrier it gives. Consumes a lot of Magic to use. By the way (not sure if this is a bug or not), Ganon's attacks will occasionally ignore the Nayru's Love Shield; so be careful if you attempt to tank Ganon with it.
• Din's Fire (4th item on 7th row): Your standard ZC Din's Fire. It upgrades to increase the radius of it's ring of fire.
• Final Goddess spell (last item on 7th row, idk what it is called): Rapidly fires powerful beams of Magic at random angles in the direction you are facing. Consumes Magic for each beam of Magic fired.

 

Passive equipment:

Most items are your standard ZC stuff. But here's the ones that might confuse you

• Chest (4th item on 1st row): Increases the amount of Rupees you can carry to ridiculous amounts. Basically the standard ZC wallet item.
• Magic Quiver (5th item on 1st Row): Gradually gives you Arrows over time. Upgrade increases the rate of arrows given over time.
• Magic Bomb Bag (6th item on 1st row): See Magic Quiver, but with Regular Bombs.
• Crown (6th item on 3rd row): Highest upgrade for the Peril Beam Scroll - Allows Link to shoot Sword Beams from any level of health.
• Rupee Ring (1st item on 4th Row): Doubles the amount of Rupees Rupee items give.
• Wisp Ring (2nd item on 4th Row): Your standard Wisp Ring. Clarified here since the tiles used may confuse you with something else.
• Skull Ring (7th item on 4th row): I think this is the Peril Ring, but I am not sure. Clarified here since the tiles used may cause you to mistake it for the Wisp Ring
• Stone of Agony (Below item count): Tells you the number of items you've collected in each dungeon.

I believe it is called the Hero's Fury.

Also, I think you missed the Rupees->Life Potion. I think it is buried under the regular potions, so you have to consume those first. Looks like a broken potion bottle with a hammer through it.

You know what'd be neat.... A pre-quest scroll, as with the NES game, that shows all the items, and their names, in Randomiser. That's be super-helpful, too.

Is there no simple list of all the items, and their properties for the Randomiser series, that comes with the quest (e.g. in the database quest details)?

wouldn't that pre-quest scroll be outrageously long though there are very many items in this quest including upgrades.

Sure, but pressing 'Start' would engage the game. I've made that kind of scroll, and it's fairly easy to do.

(Advanced title screens, and intros are something that I do for all of my projects.)

well you have a point there, and i guess sitting through the long scroll for the first time wouldn't be so bad.

actually i tested it, i don't think that's what it actually does. I'm starting to wonder if the ladder was even upgraded at all.

The 4-Way ladder is very finnicky/buggy, namely when it comes to 8-way movement. In order to get it to work properly, you need to walk onto the ladder combo while your player sprite is centered over the tile you are on.
