Wanted: Testers for 2.54

i'm sorry but this time it don't work, the bug is still here.

Can you confirm that this build contain only 1 file ? i copy and past it in the previous build

I cannot proceed in Link to Cestria, i run in a bug just like the one i aleady repot fo Zelda's Butt : i cannot past a riddle whit reflect magic,it don't work, so i cannot clear both games.

even the blue candle and bait bugs are been found in both games.

I will test another quest made whit 2.10 for see if i run again in the same bugs.

Ugh. Well, I'll see what happens in the next beta release. I do not know at present what could be causing those issues, and we need to complete the task at hand before worrying about them. Do you know if any 2.50+ quests have the same issues with those weapons/items?

 

We're working on a huge merge, for Beta 52, that combines all the new stuff for 2.54, all the new stuff for 2.50.x, allegro 4.4, the new ZScript parser, and other things; hence the delay; but it will certainly be worth the wait.

that great ! i'm sure it will worth the wait, but at this point is better delay the test of another 2.10 quest at the next beta and move to a new  quests.

that great ! i'm sure it will worth the wait, but at this point is better delay the test of another 2.10 quest at the next beta and move to a new  quests.

I still not try a 2.50+ quests,  but now i will play this :

That quest may have one known issue with 2.54, but please do test it. It would be good to have tests on 2.50.x quests.

i clear 7 dungeon until now, i run in 1 bug in the raft bonus, i was teleported to a unknow dungeon whit the White walls, is this the bug you already know ?

A good new is that there no the 3 bugs i found in the quests made in 2.10 ( blue candle,bait and troubles in the riddles whit reflect magic )

and here the more b%&/*(=d bug ! if you use the thunder  magic in 2.54 the game crash ! since i don't knew it,  i lost something like 4500 point of experience, all the progress from the save point of the Great Palace to the room before the boss.

I test other 2 time and always crash, at the end i had to cheat for clear the great palace....i will try to continue untill the end of the game 

i test whit 2.50.3 and it is safe, the Thunder magic is OK.

Edit : i completed the game so once the troubles whit Thunder magic resolved, the game may be completed whitout cheat

sorry if is a bit of time i don't report, i stated and completed a play to rite of the storms, and it play perfectly, not a single bug found

so i tried the 32x32 link I am working on in the 2.54_Beta_48 and I wanted to test his down walk animation in zc, but he is invisible.

 

plus the way to line them up seems different then before when they had to overlap each other.

 

I aslo tried it in the 2.53 build and the same.

EDIT: Update...

 

I found that even though it is a new qst file started in the 2.53 then moved over into the 2.54 both did this.

Which I found is, the tile I select is being offset one page, while no int. data items set.

As for building quest in this build. I found I major bug.

 

The tile I put into the combo page, don't show up on the screen building combo list.

 

And I noted another issue:

 

While checking to be sure the tiles were in the combo page, The last set of tiles kept jumbling up or replacing them self with blank tiles.

 

Then I saved and closed zq, then re loaded the qst. for all the tiles I placed into the combo list, totally disappear????

Edit; ok I noticed the tiles were moved from page 1 to 256. Maybe some how I accidentally mass swapped the tiles......

and moving them back, they stayed this time and the last set stopped jumbling. 

 

but even on page 256 those tiles shouldn't have acted that way.

I just noticed that you were using a '2.future' build, which is pretty much scrapped/dead.

The official ZC 2.54 builds are different, and alive: ZC 2.54.0 Alpha 23 is the latest, from yesterday-ish.

Do you have the tiles/combos issue in 2.53.0 beta 13/14?

Let me know if that's better for you. The 2.future stuff was based on entirely different source files,c different libraries, and a different compiler. I created them back when it looked as if the official devs were going to discontinue work on 2.xx, and focus on 3.xx. Now that I'm the lead, that isn't an issue, and 2.xx will continue evolving normally. Should I revive the idea in the future, it'll be an unsupported expansion of canonical ZC.

I'm not sure what's happening with Link's tiles for you. It's possible that you have them set up improperly, and I'd advise looking at a quest / tileset with Big Link and duplicate how he's set up in it.

Ok, all I did was change, the palette, delete the whole combo list. made 8bit grass and cliffs. Then made animations of 6 tiles long.

I am not sure how I accidentally mass moved the combos I set.

 

But the same combo issue is in then 2.53 b14, once I set the combos, they look fine. then back out to main window sometimes they look right, but then if you go back into combos and out again. the animated tiles jump to a different tile as the first in the animations.

 

it would be easier to provide a qst.

I will check the alpha build in a later, today is a busy one for me.

 

I will try a fresh qst, and import the buggy qst.

 

And as for big link. 

 

I remember how to set him up in the 2.10 builds. But Is it the same for 32x32 in z3 style animation?

Because that's what I was testing, because enough of us would like to use big link. the main issue I had with big link was his tile being offset a page without any items at all. I thought it only did that with a item with a link tile mod?

yeah, unfortunately the issue with the jumbling animated combos is also in the 2.54 Alpha
