Ok guys I'm kinda stuck.  How do I proceed in that Desert because even with the Lens I can't see what's damaging me.  (I'm past Level 7)

Heh, figured you'd be doing this quest at some point given its length.

Damage sand tiles with a zigzagging path. I don't think the lens was programmed correctly to work in the desert. So either have to guess the path, which I did, or use a bit of trickery to get through the desert, which is what I ended up doing on my LP

Well I made it to Level 8, have no idea how to reach the Magic Book....help Pix or anyone else!

You saw a cave in the desert on the way to level 8.  Didn't seem to have much in it at first besides the obvious.  I think you can use ocarina or the lens in one particular room to show you a path.  Should find both the wand and magic book

Yeah found it now!

 

Halfway through Level 8.  I hate the rooms where you have to light a keese on fire over a torch.  You kill all the bats & screw it up you have to start the dungeon all over to reset them.  x.x

well, it's just having to go back enough rooms to allow the bats to respawn.  This is one example that using instant enemy respawn works.  Or you could just put a darknut in that closed loop

The quest plays fine in 2.5. I think only the lens is a bit buggy, but that won't prevent you from finishing the quest

Got to level 4, got a key and got the hammer. Now I'm stuck, can't find another key.

from start, go left to get key 1, then go right until you get hammer.  Now go back to room left of start and go through stairs
