It's been 10 years that I've been playing LoZ. Beat my first level when I was 5. I couldn't figure out some of these levels when I was young, but 10 years later, I became pro. I've been downloading amazing games (Wasn't ready to sign up here). I dream one day, I will make a game here and it will be popular, its all I ever wanted. But I still need to become a coder and a good designer, which will happen soon (maybe a few years :( ) But still, playing LoZ for 10 years, is just amazing.

(sorry I'm a bit awkward)

PS: This website inspired me to play LoZ. (also my dad)

My son is 5, and I wouldn't even imagine him playing The Legend of Zelda on the NES. He used to play a bit of DKC when he was 4 but usually got bored after beating a few levels. He plays Mario Kart now and he's pretty good at it, but Mario Kart isn't really known for it's difficulty like Zelda 1 or any NES game for that matter. Impressive stuff I must say that you even had an interest in such an old game at that age.

By now your son must be good at Mario Kart. (Is it Wii or 3ds or Wii U? Just curious)

Hi, Unpost! Welcome to the forum!

Hmmm ... Gotta make a good impression. Gotta convince him this place is friendly so he hangs around. But our community here is so cutthroat and unforgiving that I'm not sure how to do that. Did I type that out loud? Damn, this isn't working ...

Um ... Enjoy your time here! I think you'll find we have a very welcoming, friendly community! :)

Perfect. The smile emoticon really sells it.

For real though, good luck on your projects. I still haven't gotten around to finishing any of mine, but they'll get there eventually probably.

Welcome to the forums, hope you'll have a great time here!

And yeah, I can imagine how great it must be to play Zelda for 10 years, I'm probably approaching 14/15 years soon :P Also, if you ever want some help regarding ZQuest or ZC in general (when you start on your quest in the future), feel free to ask me anytime. Though I should probably say I'm not really the one to ask for all the crazy coding and scripting stuff :P

I started playing LoZ when I was five too, but that was in 1987. 30 years later and it's still as rewarding as the first time, plus it has given me this odd mentality growing up that I should strive to be a hero and save the world. Well, that has paid off immensely and I use all the background that LoZ and video games gave me to teach engineering and help people with my work. You're off to a great start!
