Well, after making a special version of my 5th Quest for a friend, I've decided to make it into an official release.

It's undergoing final testing, but what it features:

1.  Three difficulties:  Easy, Normal (the 5th Quest Contest difficulty), and Kaizo

2.  A very strong NES style quest, following a lot of NES rules and having scripts to enforce a lot of the rules

3.  Some cool features added (like boss life meters)

4.  A custom soundtrack

I hope to have out by Christmas.  Screenshots after this round of testing is over.

Nice how the classic NES quests keeps people inspired to remaster them. Looking forward to your quest. :)

Lv 1 on Kaizo isn't too mean. I'd suggest people to at least try it a few times before they think it's too hard. 8)

I am trying it out finished level 1 but didn't find the whistle (do you come back for it or did I miss it),

Not trying to give anything away, but you do end up backtracking a little at points.

I'm really digging the quest so far and am in the same predicament Mister Snooze is in with Level 1.  Ended up obtaining 6 hearts and now looking for the Blue Ring and the White Sword.

I tried Kaizo at first but ended up restarting with Normal, and after completion, trying it again at Kaizo.

If it makes anyone feel better, I did Kaizo Level 1 and only died 5 times. The curve ramps up pretty nice if you're in for a real challenge.

In Zelda3Easyfix:

Whistle location please?

I have completed L1 &L2, have 8 hearts, the big shield and the raft.

I think I have found L3 but also think I need the whistle to open the door.

Please enlighten!

Tom

From start go south 1 screen and right 2 screens. Bomb far right of the rock.

You'll be happier in there with the hammer.

I don't understand this hint for the whistle, how do you go south 1 screen from the start, are you playing a different game?

I found L4 but can't go past the 1st room, as well as missing the whistle and bow, been and pushed everywhere with the bracelet and don't know how to continue. Here's what I found so far.

Push one of the statues.  You need the Bracelet to do so (treat the statues like blocks)
