Solid shots this week!

Sephiroth
It's a little hard to get the 3D sense of this room at first glance: the walls are bright and resemble the water. In terms of screen design, you're fine.

nicklegends
Lazy! No moss details on the wall, inconsistent shadows, Link has no "shallow water" splash around him... You'll get eaten alive by Shane.

Joelmacool
Nice fire dungeon! Nothing bad here, though the walking area is perhaps a bit tight.

Lunaria
The colors seem a little dingy, but the scene itself is nice. I feel secluded from the main map, like I've discovered something.

Shane
With a gorgeous palette, simple but effective details, plenty of activity, and an open design, your shot is a clear winner this week in my mind. The scene isn't anything revolutionary, but it accomplishes the basics so well that I feel compelled to give you a vote despite my entering the competition myself.

Cereal Guy
Man, it's tough to squeeze those giant objects into ZC's modestly-sized screens. The walkability is a little awkward, especially at the bottom of the screen, but the shot has a nice vibe overall.

I really like what nicklegends produced. It definitely captures the spirit of exploration and mystery and that compelled me to vote for it.

Oh man, every shot this week is amazing.

Sephiroth - solid dungeon shot. I like how it showcases multiple puzzle types in one screen. My only suggestion would be to add more detail to the walls.

Nicklegends - Really cool mix of environments, but the sand and walls could use more detail.

Joel - very nice GB dungeon shot. No complaints.

Lunaria - Great classic screenshot. The statue looks a little out of place with black outline. The palette is really nice though.

Shane - Great shot, and I like that custom sign.

Cereal - Looks great as a Z3 recreation, but it had some flaws as a ZC screen, namely the open corners and solid combos near the edge of the screen.

I ended up voting for Shane. Beautiful overworld shot, no complaints.

Sephiroth: A really well designed screen. And I really like including the puzzle in the shot. Looks like a dungeon I may enjoy playing through.

nicklegends: I like the seemless inclusion of two different overworlds types on the same screen and the bombable wall. Solid as well. Gives a sense of exploration.

Joelmacool: There's something I really appreciate about your design style and I can't put my finger on it. But in this shot I enjoy the symmetrical approach and the solid fire theme. Really nice shot which again provides a sense of exploration.

Lunaria: I agree that at first glance the colors came off a little dingy. But after a couple seconds the shot was very appealing and solid. And yes it does feel like you just discovered some kind of secret. Where the others felt more about the exploration this one felt more like the discovery.

Shane: What more is there to say about your shots? Like Joel, you just have a style I find appealing. It's a solid shot I can easily see as an overworld location in a licensed Zelda game.

Cereal Guy: Another really nice shot, though a bit plain compared to the others. I do like the opening in the wall, but it feels like there's not much walking room on the bottom. Still a really nice shot.

Overall I was back and forth between Joel, Lunaria and Shane, but I went with Joel.

Sephiroth - I like what you got going on here. I could probably easily guess what that switch would do, but if it doesn't activate the pillars on the top-left then I dunno what it will do :P

nicklegends - Really nice shot. I love the split between the desert to the north and the swamp to the south. The sand to the north could use a bit more detail though, but other than that, well done.

Joelmacool - Awesome dungeon shot. A bit on the symmetrical side of things, but I guess that's intended for a shot like this. I got no real complaints with this one.

Lunaria - I really like the layers of mountain to the south, and the screen itself is nicely done. I don't really have anything else to say about it though, but good job anyways.

Shane - I really love what you got here, this is a truly beautiful screen. I also can't help but notice that interesting B-button item. The screen itself is fantastically made.

Cereal Guy - Interesting idea here. You seem to be able to recreate Z3 on ZC really nicely. There isn't any complaints I have other than the fact that the bottom of the screen could get a bit awkward to walk around.

I voted for Shane this week, but good job to all!

Sephiroth - I start do dislike DoR more and more... but I can't wait to play through that dungeon, nice design. I am not too fond of the lower walls being the same like the upper walls I think though. A little bit of editing to let them look like the lower walls would make it even better.

Nicklegends - maybe a bit empty and could need coloration-help from Shane, but I love this shot, can't wait to explore. Voted here.

Joelmacool - pretty much all your shots are great and awesome and all, but lately I am missing something special about them.

Lunaria - I am not a fan of the classic tileset and really prefer the mix to make it interesting. Nothing to complain about. Sure looks like a great quest, if I had more love for the tileset, most likely had voted here.

Shane - This. It looks just soo incredible awesome. Did you ever logged in without a bunch of new likes on pure ZC? Sure it wasn't because some jealous conspirators deleted them? Anyway, while you win with the looks, the screen design of nicklegends is more interesting. Also as awsome the the new subscreen does look, I liked the black-white one better.

Cereal guy - solid screen, would work well with z3-scrolling, but I think for a typical ZC-quest the screen is a bit empty.
