Example Quest.

So I was trying to make an example quest to show someone how to make GB style mini-boss warps, and I have run into a hair-pulling, rage inducing problem, that has me about to swear off ZC altogether. (Okay, not really, but it is annoying).

So what's happening is, I have a stair warp set to appear on a tile with a secret flag, and when I kill the enemies, the warp appears, but it completely ignores the destination I put in, and warps me to an item room. I've tried a bunch of different configurations, and I'm still having this problem. Like... I literally don't understand. It's an interior screen. The secrets trigger, but the warps are being dumb. The warp destination is on the first screen, which uses A, and B, and B is set to the point where the warp puts you, and A is the normal entrance. Using the tile warp editor in ZC, it looks fine, like it should work, but it doesn't in game. The warps also work just fine if placed directly on the screen. Why won't they work when triggered via a secret flag after killing enemies?

This is causing me a lot more annoyance than it really should, but I really don't understand.

This post will probably be edited once I notice the incredibly obvious thing I missed.

The secret combo is Stairs [C].

*takes a step back*

*looks deeply into oneself...*

*realizes that I was wrong, and I can be a huuuuuuuuge idiot at times*

But seriously, wow. So I guess when I was assigning the secret combo, I picked the second one down in that far-right most column, thinking it was B, but it was really C, cause A is at the bottom of the column to the left. Wow. Let me get it like, wow. It's like, right now.

thanks. >.>

It is really helpful to name the warps. Like you can give them a tile with the letter A. If you use layers you can overpaste them with the wished combo on layer 1 or 2, otherwise you can just replace the warp-combos tile (so far you use only one warp-combo tile) after finishing the quest.

That's normally what I do in an actual quest, but this was just an example made in Classic. I used the "layer letter" method for my Z2 overworld thing.
