I posted this on the "vinesauce" booru, but my shield for my cosplay is done.  I have a holster strap on it to wear now, and another forearm strap to hold it better.

Yo, mate! That's pretty awesome. When I was little, I used to cut boxes into shield shapes. Then I would wrap them in tinfoil to make Hylian shields with the help of some trusty Sharpie pens.

 

Yours is clearly a step or two above my own.
