[Basic / 2.10] Making a Treasure Chest Mini Tutorial

Ever wanted to make a treasure chest that you wanted to work like an ACTUAL treasure chest? Well, this mini tutorial is for you!

First of all, make sure you turn off the "Special rooms and guys are in caves only" flag in the DMap properties.

Then, get your treasure chest graphic. Make sure you put Treasure Chest Normal or Boss as the combo type. This will work with 1x1 and 2x1. (If you want 2x1, make sure you put the second tile as Treasure Chest Normal or Boss (Copycat))

Put it down on your screen, and make sure it's solid.

Next, Make sure your opened chest graphic is two tiles solid, on the top.
Also, make sure you opened chest graphic is right next to it on the combo list. (To the right)

After this, go to ""Room Type" and select Special Item. Pick your item, and that's done. Do NOT put a "guy" or String.
Finally, Put Flag 10 (Armos/Chest -> Item) onto the tile.

Now, you're done!
Just push up into the bottom of the chest to open it! It also helps if you put on "Hold up item" in Screen -> Screen Data. Have fun!! icon_smile.gif
