Multiple Undercombos

A basic tutorial by rocksfan13.

Ever wonder how to get more than one under combo on a screen? Or even have multiple under combos that don't trigger when you hit a secret trigger on the same screen?
Then this is the tutorial for you.

Let's set up a basic screen with multiple slashable objects. ie; pots, bushes, etc.. This works with pushable objects too.
IPB Image
Now, there is a burn trigger here on the small tree you see there.
In this instance, we want to have different under combos for each bush that do not change when the tree is burnt.
We place the #4 flag on the tree and set the secret combo in Data->Secret Combos->Burn to a desired combo. I placed the slashed bush combo there.
Anyway, to make it so these different under combos do not appear when we burn the tree, you must create another screen just like it, but with the desired under combos in place of the bushes.
Paint the areas that aren't needed with a transparent, walkable combo. Black in this instance.

Now go back to the original screen and place push flags #'s 1,2, or 47-65 on the bushes. It does not matter which one as long as you block it from being pushed in that direction with a solid object or the no push blocks flag #67. In this instance I used the Push up flag #48 and blocked it with the no push blocks flag #67.
IPB Image
Now remember, if you have combos that require an under combo, are solid, and are in the path of the same kind of combo, make it pushable in a different direction and block that direction with the #67 flag.
Now assign this screen the layer that created with the under combos by going to Data->Layers.

If done right, your screen should look like this:

The combos will be covered in the editor, but will show up in the player.

If you do not have a secret trigger on the same screen, you can set these up with secret flags #'s 16-31, as seen here:

Since there is nothing there to trigger those secrets, they will appear as under combos.

The important thing to remember here is that your main under combo is set to a fully walkable combo or whatever the combo's walkability is for these combos, because ZC uses the main under combo at all times.
This method merely makes it appear as if it is another but simply hiding the main under combo.
Always remember the things that require an under combo to be set: Armos, bushes, flowers, tall grass, slashes, and pushes.
HERE you can download the quest I created for this tutorial.
It was created in 2.10 so any of the editors should open it.
It shows how I set up the layers and flags and if you play it, it will show you what happens with each scenario. One screen with the secret trigger and push flags, one screen with just secret flags and a secret trigger, and one screen with both push flags and secret flags and a secret trigger. All of which you can walk onto while playing the quest.

too put this guide into a simple form, all you have to do is set a layer on top of your bush stubs that is a bush-->next(the next would be invisible)and then set under combo and burn flag for your burn tree?

There is no bush->next combo in 2.10, so you could not use them for multiple undercombos in anything pre-2.5. The push block flags make the bushes appear above layer 1(This is useful if you do not want a push block to not produce an undercombo) and the transparent undercombo reveals the undercombos that were previously hidden by the bush combos.
If you want multiple undercombos for bushes in 2.5, you can just use bush->next combos without any more work required.

^That just sets the undercombo normally, which limits you to one undercombo(Which is the problem that this topic attempts to solve in the first place)
