Ice Wand

What i want is something like a wand, but doesn't activate the book when used and doesn't activate fire/magic flags. If it's possible, a script for an "ice" flag would be great (I don't keep up with the betas/alphas, I dunno if they've already been implemented).

When Ice Magic is done, this will be made, too. So relax.... And wait. But I already promised someone that if by 5 more builds, if Ice Magic isn't ready, I'd work on the script. So no worries, right?

Well, the thing is, wand magic flames aren't really triggered by anything BUT the wand. So you could just use those, and replace the graphics with ice magic graphics, and call it good. The way to keep it from triggering the Magic Book flame is to simply NOT give the player the Magic Book. I am already doing all of these things, only my wand is going to be thunder-based.
Scripts would only be necessary if you want the ice wand to have a standard effect other than its normal one. For instance, say you wanted it to freeze enemies -- that'd require a script.

CDawg made the "Ice Beam" script, It doesn't freeze enemies, persay, but it dumps a solid combo on top of it, and freezes the enemy.

Matthew just said if it wasn't implemented by 5 alphas hed script it. Which means it might be implemented. Which sounds like it goes against a feature freeze...

Not really. Feature Freeze only goes for coding directly into ZC. Scripts aren't part of ZC's code, per se.
Also, no, I will not script this. I'm bored with scripting right now, and C-Dawg already made an Ice Beam script. Can't you just use that for now? (Of course, I'll still take OTHER script requests... >_>)

I disagree. Either they're going to finish it, or take it out completely. Leaving something unfinished in a final version of something is useless and it detracts from the program.
