[Nightmare]

OK, we're well into closed beta now and got the green light of approval, so introducing Phantom Menace's and my new project:  Demo SP!

 

This basically fixes many of the bugs that were in Demo EX and introduces many new features including new enemies, abilities of Zelda Classic, scripting, and an all-new level showing off the new abilities.  Also, several of the levels have been rebalanced, some easier, some harder, to reflect the new enemy cast.  I hope everyone enjoys and is welcome now to start discussing about it!

Well, he's retired now and now kind of the "Executive Producer."

But I still run ideas by him about this:  He started this series off and still has veto power over anything I do.

Ah. That's a shame, as I had a glimmer of home that he returned to doom us with a new evil quest.

 

DarkDragon and War Lord both came back, so a return of Phantom Menace would be interesting, but alas, I understand why he is done.

He keeps his information private and I only have contact for really beta-testing the hell out of the project when it first came out.  He has a wife, kids, more than a 40 hour workweek, and is older than me, lol.

 

I showed him the trailer video and he appreciated the work put into it, so we're in business now!

 

I'll be producer/director now, unlike the previous entries.

OK, the development war room for Demo SP in closed beta is getting a little bit contentious at the moment, so I'm just going to patch Demo EX as a holdover until everything gets straightened out.

 

Sorry about the delay:  I did not expect this.  We're not ready for open beta just yet

There's some heated discussion going on about Demo SP (namely adding an Easy Mode and possibly a PM mode depending how feasable it is)

 

So in the meantime, uploaded a patch to Demo EX to hold you guys over while we work this out.  Enjoy people!

I'd vote for no easy mode.   The difficulty is part of what makes Demo EX what it is.   It's perfect.

I'll think about it, but I think I'd make a crappy tester.   I'm old, have 3 kids, a stressful job, and not a lot of time to game.   I play old school games as stress relief.  I don't know how to take screenshots.  But if you still want me with those qualifiers I'd certainly give it some thought as Demo EX is an all-time favorite of mine.

I'll get back to doing some testing tonight.   Real life got in the way yesterday.

Fixed a critical bug in the Bonus Dungeon involving warps.  I think we're almost ready for open beta.  Everything's mostly functional now.
