I'm very surprised that the explosion keeps the eweapon pointer of the bomb. I was pretty certain that it didn't...
It's because wLitBomb degrades into a state of wBOOM, which is not quite a distinct weapon type. It is a state of an explosion 'canonical weapon ID', that is tied to an internal timer, and its effects are generated therefrom.
This, incidentally, is part of why I added CreateLWeaponDX().
