Still using this as it's the lastest build for Mac(?)

I noticed that the screensaver starts whether you are idle or not. Link will sometimes start moving in a direction and not stop (until you press in that same direction again). My large enemy script no longer works in this build (enemies that were large now show up as a single pixel)

2.50.3 RC1  is abandoned and unsupported: Making quests in it could result in bugs in future versions, and no support is offered for such issues.

What?!?

2.50.3 and 2.50.2 are the last stable old 2.50 releases, are they not? Why would they be unsupported?

I don't know, but if these issues were here they might be present in the current build, so I thought I'd mention them. The two builds do come from the same "ancestor" so to speak.

If I'm wrong, cool. But if these issues are coming from one of the builds that led up to 2.50.3 RC1, then I had to mention them.

I've spoken to ZoriaRPG about this. Apparently this is the build that had the unfortunate COMBOSDM bug. What this means is that you cannot use this build if any quest contains a script that contains any Game->SetCombo() code, as it will corrupt the quest file. Additionally you also cannot back-port said quest to an earlier version of 2.50... fantastic.

I don't know why there was no announcement made for this, and it's really not acceptable there there wasn't one, especially considering there is no fix.

Again; DO NOT SAVE YOUR QUEST FILE IN THIS BUILD if the above applies to your quest. Everything else is forward/backward compatible however, so you should switch to using 2.50.2 or 2.53 in the meantime just to be safe.

It's possible to port such a quest, but it requires recompiling and adjusting the values used for these functions. I wanted to see the 2.50.3 RC1 download removed from ZC.com because of this, but.... sigh. I only have so much steam.

The 2.53 Beta 11 download would be safer to put up there for now, despite only having a Windows binary.

In short, because of this problem, 2.50.3 RC1 has become the ZC equivalent of a red-headed orphan step-child with warts and bad breath. Use 2.50.2 for MacOSX, if you need to use scripts that do Game->GetCombo* or Game->SetCombo*.

Once 2.53.0 for OSX is out, shift to that.

I'm not working in it any longer, and I do have a save before trying it out.
