can someone convert all the sound effects and music from link's awakening DX into a zip of midi's?

I have googled for them but they are either not in midi format or are not the original sound and music

Here, have a look at this. DX had only one additional track added, but besides from that, the BGM is entirely the same as its original counterpart.

That's the best you're going to get. MIDI is not a digital audio format. A MIDI file is more like sheet music that the computer plays back on a fixed set of instruments.
If you want the original Game Boy music, it has to be in .gbs format. You can have that recorded to a digital audio format like MP3, but it won't loop properly. MIDI isn't an option.

So when I go to Dmaps->Music I try to import the gbs file as a Enhanced Music File but it loads it and does nothing.

the both boxes are still grayed out

Some .gbs/.nsf files work and others don't. I think it depends on how the file was put together. Also, ZC has a bug where saving your .qst file can prevent you from adding more enhanced music.

Sorry, I can't help with that, also I barely know anything about scripting.

ezgbz doesn't have it already imported in the template project
