I think you have to run the main file (probably either DXGL.exe or something of the like). Then you just find ZC in the program and add it.

Nothing of the sort there. There is a .sln file and a .workspace file. Neither open or run anything (windows doesnt know what to do with them)

Before you mess with that, try finding the doublebuffer setting in ag.cfg and setting it to 1. That seems to have fixed it for other people.

dxgl can mess up the graphics, I already tried.

Saffith is correct, but if for some reason a window pops up and you go back to ZC it'll look almost the same as if you never put that option. I'd suggest using Razer Cortex to prevent that.

I used DXGL and it runs perfectly fine. I can play in fullscreen with no issues at all.

This probably doesn't have anything to do with Win 10, but there doesn't seem to be a thread where you could ask for help with a technical issue, so I'm dumping it here.

This just started happening recently. I'll be playing and everything's fine, and then my FPS will drop to 45-50 for a while, before eventually returning to normal. It could just be my computer being bad but I'm not seeing anything notable in the task manager, and if I turn off the frame limit I can still get 200+ FPS... Any guesses as to what's happening? (There was a major win 10 update recently, I returned to school so I needed to install some programs, and also I broke my USB headset so now I'm going without.)

Something to do with vsync, probably. If you want to try disabling it, the setting is vsync in the [zeldadx] section, not zcvsync under [ZCL]. If you have use_dwm_flush enabled, it might also have to do with that.

Both of those are already set to 0.

(Don't have time right not to see if actually turning them on would fix anything, because it's hard to say how long I'll have to wait before it starts acting up. Usually it takes a couple minutes.)

Enemies and Link are often disappearing when they flicker. Moosh told me this is a frames issue with Windows 10. I glanced through this topic for a possible fix, but the only thing I seen was trying to enable or disable vsync if it is on or off.

Are there other suggestions for this problem?

After m$ screwed us with Windows 7 (Runs much slower than 98, somewhat lacking in BC), and XP (Slower still than 98, almost ZERO BC), thus all should come as no surprise.  The only reason to get windows 10 is b/c you can't find new computers without it.  On top of being slower still than 7, the automatic updates not only create more drag, but can "Red Ring" your computer.  I'd have kept my Win 7 laptop if SquareTrade hadn't botched the repair and simply sent me a check to buy another PC.

As it is, I had to eventually hunt down a Win 7 PC anyway, because I'm done having my computers fried but that fucking auto-update thing that 10 does NOT let you turn off.

ok how do i turn off link running super fast. I have windows 8. I also had the blue flickering problem so i am not running zc in full screen. I know I will get hate for thsi but would there ever come a day where people could just design quest to run on the virtuanes?

Also I have been away for a bit playing a lot of super mario rpg at insane difficulty. Super mario rpg is one of my all time favorite games and it helps just being able to use a snes 9x 1.53 emulator.

Is it everything in the game running fast, or just Link? If the former, press F1. If the latter, you might accidentally have turned on the quick movement cheat (Q).

Thank you so much Dimentio and Saffith. Either of your fixes work (DXGL or enabling doublebuffer) and I was pulling my hair for months trying to fix this, because it bothered me so much I couldn't even play ZC. Oh man, so many new quests to play now... :D

It's kinda hard to play it when you press the Microsoft key between thr ALT and CTRL. When you get back on, the graphics change and the screen is pink. Kinda hard to play it like that.

That used to happen to me back in the day, but I changed it to Z, and X.
