So I bought a 2DS (with Mario Kart 7) at the end of August, and since then I've purchased Pokemon Red, ALBW, and Pokemon Moon. What other games should I get?

Already considering Resident Evil Revelations, Luigi's Mansion 2, OoT3D, Alpha Sapphire, Pokemon Yellow and DKCR.

There are a bunch of GB/GBC titles I'm interested in, but I'm not buying them unless I get an XL system with a larger screen, because pixel-perfect mode is too tiny on the 2DS, and the other mode is too blurry. Also, I can't get the "New 3DS" exclusive games.

Also I'm more likely to look at games that aren't full price for now, but will keep others in mind.

OoT3D, Majora's Mask 3D, Super Mario 3D Land, Bravely Default (if you like really long RPGs) and it's sequel, Bravely Second. You mentioned DKCR, but if you already own the Wii version, and can live without playing it on the go, the I'd say skip it. There is also a Rayman Origins port if you like platformers, but that is also better on console. There's also Sm4sh, Monster Hunter, a port of Xenoblade Chronicles, really, there's a ton of great games for it.

Alas, Xenoblade 3D is one of those New 3DS exclusives. But aside from those listed, I also loved Fire Emblem Awakening & Fates. And Kid Icarus: Uprising.

I liked Pokemon X/Y,  New Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario 3D Land, Ocarina of Time 3D, Majora's Mask 3D, and maybe Tri Force Heroes if playing online with a bunch of 10 year olds is your cup of tea. But I just want to say, do not, I repeat, DO NOT get Hyrule Warriors Legends if you have a 2DS. I have a 2DS, then got HWL, that game looked like it could run on the N64.

If you're looking for a long RPG with tons of replay value, pick up a copy of Shin Megami Tensei 4. It doesn't disappoint.

For indie games, I would recommend Shovel Knight (provided you do not have it on any other system), 1001 Spikes, and the Gunvolt games (there's a really good sale on the bundle right now on Amazon I believe).  Also, personally if you already have Pokemon Red, getting Yellow would be a bit redundant.  The differences are pretty minor and far and few between.  I mean, at least you get all the starters, but apart from that it's... not much different.

If you enjoy RPGs, I'd definitely throw the Etrian Odyssey games a recommendation. They're first person dungeon crawlers in a similar style to Wizadry. They're on the difficult side of things, but ever so satisfying. If I'm not mistaken, the ones on the 3DS (IV, Untold 1 and Untold 2) all have demos that are just the early parts of the game. Untold 1 and 2 are remakes of their DS counterparts, with added features and conveniences of later entries. They all go on sale frequently as well, so getting them for about 15-20 bucks isn't uncommon.
