Okay, some positive news on the Warp point front. The code is already written to support more Warp Points, so all I'll have to do is add them and they'll be good to go. I already inserted the one near the Alpha Skree and now I need to decide on two others.

 

I also figured out what happened with the Regenerator. Whenever you get a new Energy Tank, it resets certain internal variables. But I forgot to make it also refill Link's MP. So while it looks like you don't have full energy, you actually do. That'll be fixed in the next update, which I'll upload once I create two more save points.

I have finished installing a second save point, in the back half of the ship; near the Triaxis boss.

 

However, when testing these I ran into a problem I'm not sure that I can fix; since I didn't write the code that governs them.That is, the warp function for these two save points doesn't appear to function.

 

You can still save at them, you just can't warp there from elsewhere in the game.

 

If this is fine, I'll leave it as it is without trying to resolve the issue. Otherwise, I'll consult with the author of the script and see if we can resolve this.

As long as you can save...its better than before. It still ends the issue with having to go all the way back if you accidentally die. Its your decision either way.

After thinking it over for a while, I've decided not to create a boss designed to be vulnerable to the Plasma Beam.

 

The addition of the two save points on the Dark Side has been finalized and I don't really feel any more testing needs to be done at this point, so I'm going to upload the new quest to the database and remove the links to the readme and changelog from the first post of this thread (since those will be in the new database upload).

 

Also in the upload will be the older version of Origins, in case anyone wants to play that for some reason.

The old version will be labeled simply origins.qst

The new version will be labeled origins2.qst.

 

Please continue to reply if there are further questions or problems that are encountered.

I cannot figure out how to re-energize my Metroid in Origins (the first version).

It's energy level is at 009 and is insufficient to utilize the little beggar.

All energy refill stations (including the ship) should restore it.

 

Also, if this is a bug in the older version; it has probably been fixed in the newest one that's in the database.

 

I will not be issuing any further bugfixes to the builds of this quest which predate the version 3.0 changes.

Nope, doesn't work but I much prefer the Origins3 version!
