Since today, when my battery reaches 20% and I plug my AC adapter, the power button blinks and my laptop won't charge. I need to unplug and replug in order for it to charge. However, when it's above 20% (this percentage is when Windows gives me the low power message), I can unplug and replug my adapter just fine and it will charge. I'm asking here since I can't find anything about my model. It's a Lenovo G475 with Windows 10.

Keep in mind it's already 4 years old. :P

It does sound like your battery is either faulty or at least worn out. If you can get a replacement battery go for it.

I'll be sure to get one if available. Given it's hard to get replacement parts (sometimes) here in Mexico, I might have to live with it as well. :/

Buying a new battery online is always an option. But yeah, I'm with Nicholas; I'd get a new one if possible.

Could also be the cord (part that plugs into the laptop, specifically) itself. I'd try using another compatible AC adaptor to test it. I used a Lenovo laptop for years and the cord did start to wear out eventually.
