No script needed.  Make sure the quest rule is checked that allows you to assign items to the A & B buttons.  Then make sure your sword is a selectable item in your inventory.

To allow spin attacks, give the player the spin scroll. I also advise giving a charge ring at the same time, to speed up the default charge time.

How is the default sword stab not sufficient; or do you mean slash? You can give the player slash in Quest->Init Data.

Shadowblitz16 might mean "sword tap" instead of "stab" which also comes with the spin attack scroll.

ok so I tried the spin attack scroll it doesn't act like gb zelda sword at all

-it doesn't knock back enemies the same way gb games did

-spin attack's charge can be interrupted by going offscreen

-when swinging link's direction can be changed almost in a complete 360

-spin attack's charge animation doesn't blink though the swords palette

also some small things I noticed is that link's walking animation doesn't switch back to the first frame when directional keys are released

this isn't a sword thing though

bump: so I guess there is no gameboy sword script?

I would have thought that someone's quest would contain it at least
