i have some areas on top of walls that are walkable, but i dont want enemies to spawn there. i also dont want to use enemy flags to make them spawn in certain spots, or special enemy spawns. is there a way that isnt scripting to get the enemies to not spawn there?
how do i make it so that enemies dont spawn at a certain spot?

Put down the flag 98 "No enemies" or 99 "No walking enemies" on those combos (hope I remembered those numbers right).

If you have a lot of such places and don't want to keep placing flags manually, you can also dedicate a certain combo as walkways at the tops of these walls, and change their inherent combo flag or combo type to block out enemies. This would make it easier to set up other stuff like secret flags, push blocks, etc up there, or just save you from having to draw flags all over them.

Make two copies of a floor combo. Have the first one combo-cycle into the other after only a few frames. Any really small amount.
Have the first floor combo have "No Enemies" inherent flag. Then the second floor combo is just a plain old floor combo.
I think that should do it. It might depend on where that combo is though. If it's near the door, you might want that cycle to be really, really quick.
