I see. Well I do think mermaids are out there. It's probably a small group out there, but I know they are out there

Yes, but only if it is like in Family Guy where the top half is fish, and the lower half is human. Cause that makes as much sense, right?
I think mermaids are pretty sweet, but they are not real creatures. Pretty sure.
EDIT: Or they could be like 'Pirates of the Caribbean' mermaids, which are also vampires for some reason.

I'm not sure. I've only seen and heard theories about them. They may exist or they may not exist is all I can say. I can't say no or yes until I've actually seen one.

No.
In the abscence of any evidence whatsoever of their existence, not to mention the low likelihood of such a creature evolving, I have to say no.

Much like the concept of an all-powerful bearded man in the sky, I think half-fish half-human hybrids are nothing but fairy tales.
Nah, an all powerful bearded man is much more likely than some half fish half human magical creatures living in a secret society outside of our own. However, an artificially created mermaid in the future? I could see that happening.
The bearded man at least has an entire book pertaining to his existence.

Half human half fish creatures? Certainly not. Some sort of aquatic humanoid? Very unlikely, but considering the mass depth of the oceans and the fact we have only really explored a small amount it's possible.
I would be more inclined to believe that a large "sea monster" from the Jurassic period still alive in the depths of the ocean. Because the odds of that are fr greater and very possible (considering fresh water crocodilians survived).

Hey! Bilbo Baggins is a real, nonfiction character. He saved the entirety of Middle Earth from a dragon named Smaug. Don't you go dissing him
