Strengths:

Design: Believe it or not but my strength is Design. When I want to put good design into my games I will, and I will do it properly.
Dungeons: I am also good at making dungeons, not just because it has good design but it will make you want to play more.
Overworlds: I may not show the design in here but from the game i'm making now I can safely say its great design.

Weaknesses:

ZScript: I do not understand a thing about this, when someone helps me with this I forget what they say almost immediately... I do want to use this for myself one day though.
Music: I love music, I want to make my own music... I don't know how.

I'm strong in story, character dialogue and music choices. I am very poor at keeping organized maps, tilesets and lose motivation easily with projects. Like my quest at the moment is just a mess of maps and random screens, some of which only exist as a joke and no one would ever access them, nothing is orderly and I'm always like "where did I put that screen" lol

I had a thought? Exactly WHY are we doing this? I mean, we're identifying our strengths and weaknesses, sure, but what are we, as  a community, planning to do with this information?

Strengths:

Design- I can create decent overworlds and separate overworld screens. They might not be the most original or nice to look at, but at least they work.

Weaknesses:

Everything else- I can't create full new sprites, can't script and I can't make music. I'm not too great at making good interiors/dungeons either. :/

Motivation- I tend to start off strongly when making a quest, then my motivaton slowly drains as the time taken on the quest without it going anywhere gets longer. Have also had times where I have seen what others have made or are making and my motivation drains instantly as I know I can't compete with what I have just seen.

*revives two year old topic that caught my eye and took away 45 minutes I could have spent being productive on a quest*

Strengths

Planning:
I put a big emphasis on the planning process. Such to which it can even be scene as a weakness. I have one quest where I have mapped out the layout of everything. From the overworld to all 9 dungeons. I plan to the point where it could possibly be considered a weakness.

I go beyond this too. Before I get through the first dungeon, I have thought out where every item will be. Maybe not down to the precise latitude and longitude on the map. I will start off by saying, "Alright, this dungeon has X theme, in such a dungeon it would be logical to find item A, B or C."

I spend so much time planning that I often burn myself out early in creation, only to come back with another idea, which I proceed to not complete also!

Ideas:
On the same scale as planning, I put a lot of confidence and pride into the ideas I come up. This ranges from a wide variety of things, such as dungeon design, story writing and gimmicks. I do not tend to share my ideas very well, as if I do ever finish a quest, I want my ideas to be explored first hand. At the same time though, I am not a bad person to speak to if you are looking to come up with or flesh out new ideas.

Enemy Selection:
This is related to the planning part in a way, but I feel this expands a bit beyond that. I know when I submitted my dungeon the time I participated in Dungeon of the Month, I was complimented on perfect enemy selection.

Truthfully, I wouldn't be surprised if my selection were to a point where it would be considered too easy for some. But that comes with my desire to make the quest accessible to a wide variety of players. I don't cater to any particular audience. Hell, enemies are literally the last thing I put in a room. Even after decoration.

I then will go through and test them out personally to see if I like the way it turned out. If I felt the screen was too cramped, I will delete a couple. If I find it too empty, I will add a couple. If I find an enemy not to my liking for the earliness in which it appears, I will replace or remove it. I thrive for some authenticity and logic. Speaking of which, I do not throw enemies into a location willy nilly. I always think to myself, "Would this enemy make sense under X theme?" If I feel like I wouldn't find a Rope in the main corridors of an illustrious castle, I will not include. If I feel I would not find an army of darknuts roaming a random poisonous swamp, I will not include.

Response to Feedback:
I think one thing any good quest maker should have going for them is a positive response to feedback. By positive, I do not mean going out and doing whatever someone else tells you should do. If I like my idea, I will stick with it, but if a person gives me a recommendation and I feel that it will improve on what I have, I will try to find my own way to implement it. I am not much of a team person, largely due to the issue of reliance and dependancy. However, I know when I do and do not like an idea, and I have a willingness to listen and improve, even if the will power isn't always there.

Writing:
I've been complimented on my writing skills since I was about 10 years old. This was something that I was always told I was exceptional at. From poetry, to story telling, to creating scripts (as in play scripts, not so much coding). I believe that story telling is its own art form, and whether it be something as simple as Ganon is attacking, or something deep and intricate as having to do with mind game and plot twists, I can definitely write. I have even wrote a poem or two in the Shakespearean style.

Quick Learner:
I do feel that I ask too many questions at time, but as soon as I am properly explained the solution to a problem, I tend to not forget. It really doesn't take long at all to explain to me how to do something. I know how to import midis, tiles, scripts, etc... Even if I do not create my own and prefer to stick to the simplicity of what ZC provides as much as possible.

Modesty:
I am basically the supreme overlord of modesty.

Weaknesses

Execution:
As exceptional as I feel my mind to be, I have issues when it comes to techniques of actually executing those ideas. I'm not particularly bad at anything, but I feel as though I am just average and that my ideas exceed my skill set in execution. A lot of it comes from what I consider meh visual design.

Ignorance:
There's just a lot of things I don't know how to do, since I haven't fully explored ZC's capabilities. I don't understand how to script. Even if I go in and ask for help, a lot of the responses come back as Greek to me when it gets into terminology. Most of what I learned, I learned from youtube guides by Eddy and TeamUDF. I feel like I could be much less ignorant if I could find videos that showed me how to do things. They tend to keep my attention. As much as I say I know how to use things, I do not have the ability to create my own things.

Perfectionist:
I will spend too much time trying to fix one little thing, and it leads to me doing things such as spending an hour trying to find a midi for a 10 room location, or trying to make a logical and coherent interior design for a house or a dungeon. Which, while important, I can be a bit nit picky of my own stuff, like NJF earlier eluded to.

Distractions:
This is a big thing for me. I get my creative juices flowing and start working, only to find myself finding a checkpoint to do something else. My biggest example is jumping away from my own quest making to watch Let's Plays of other quests while responding to topics and such.

Time:
Related to the above, I just don't always have time. I am almost 27 years old, and I work 32-40 hours every week. By the time I get home, I tend to relax with youtube videos and not spend my free time on the quest making I want to do. I rarely get more than two days off in a row. And the one vacation I've had I spent on BotW. The time when I was somewhat actice was when I had not job and had a dedication to the hobby.

Reliancy and Dependance:
I don't like asking people for help. Nor do I feel comfortable accepting it. And it's not cause I don't think I can make an exceptional quest with someone else. It's because I don't want people depending on me when I most likely inevitably teeter off into my next obsession. I do not want to ask someone to make sprites or scripts for me, cause I feel like I would be a waste of their time.

Art:
Of the things listed in the OP, this is the only area I feel that I am strong or weak in. I can absolutely replicate something, but when it comes to creating my own things, fugget about it. I barely even have any time to learn it. Beyond that my choices with existing things artistically, can be kind of meh. Especially when it comes to color selection or just not being able to figure out what I'm looking for.

Maikeru, are you.. me? Like seriously, I was gonna post, but then I read that, and you literally sound like me down to the age (except I just turned 27) lol.

My strongest suit is overworld design, I think. Ironically, I don't really enjoy it, but I'm decent enough at it. I much rather make dungeons, but I'm not as good at it as I'd like to be. The grass is always greener? The biggest thing is, I am also an over-planner. I have an almost compulsive need to make a new quest file, and import loads of tiles before even making a screen too, which doesn't help. Over the 17 years I've been using ZC (though to be fair, there were a few several-year hiatuses in there), I have not finished anything, and have started probably around 160 different quests. Oh, I also like making stories, and writing dialogue. It might be the most fun part for me, but I'm not particularly good at making cutscenes in ZC.

My biggest strength is planning, and conceptualizing, my biggest weakness is actually doing it.

I'd say I'm pretty decent at (overworld) screen design, as well as making secret areas and such. I haven't touched ZScript, and I think I need to improve my dungeon design skills, as well as my sprite-making.

What I'm good at:

Design: I can come up with ideas and implement them very well and very quickly.

ZScript: I'm not the best programmer, but I have enough of an understanding of C++ to work out what others' code does.

Art: I can do a wide variety of pixel art stuff and have been doing my own custom sprite art for ZC since I began using the program in version 1.82.

Music: I've been writing my own music for over 7 years now.

What I'm bad at:

Finishing a quest.
