thread for anyone having trouble in Magic and Fantasy.

This quest was made in ZC 2.50, build 24. If you encounter strange bugs, please first make sure you are playing in that version. It isn't cool to have to start over cause of something like the wrong version, but nothing can be done otherwise if it is a version issue.

I've tried to foolproof things as much as possible without a lot of handholding, but its a delicate balance. So, if there's something you don't understand or you're stuck, don't be afraid to ask. :)

So far, so good. Nothing too obtuse for a seasoned Zelda 1 player. Your 'One Headlight' level 1 had me grooving, so that's a plus.

I am missing the key to level 4 or the item to open the second entrance. I also haven't found the ladder.

Mister Snooze use a bomb to open level 4 second entrance.  I've not come across the bridge yet and I've done quite a bit of level 4. I'm looking for the White Sword. It's hard trying to kill red and blue darknuts in a small room.

Mister Snooze: From the entrance that you just bomb open, you should be able to find the first dungeon item, which will lead to the second dungeon entrance.  Make sure you search thoroughly- some of those keys are a real bastard to find...

ms_zelda_lady: The White Sword is found at the end of the forest maze- there's a fortune teller (I think the one in the starting town) that'll tell you how to get through.

Anyway, I'm busy trying to figure out my way through Death Mountain to find the snowy summit.  I may have uh, already traversed Level 8 (that was... interesting o_o) and found the alternate entrance there, along with the expected one in Kakariko.  I feel like I've combed the whole damn thing though and all I've gotten for my troubles is the Hammer, Fire Boomerang, and Silver Arrows. (At least I'm loaded to bear.)

One of the keys needed for Level 4 is in the gateway corridor itself. If you have combed the rest of the dungeon and still haven't found that last key, don't worry.

MS_Zelda_lady: follow the clues to the master sword in the lost woods. It won't actually be there, but the white sword is consolation for it.

Scoots: tackled Level 8 early eh? Persevere. If you got the hammer you're on the right track. There's an obvious clue to the maze down there too. Just look at the ground.

Level 5 is way out on the beach. If you remember how the northeast corner of the map worked in Z1 you'll figure things out.

Level 1 - Hyrule Castle
Level 2 - north of the lake
Level 3 - forest
Level 4 - desert
Level 5 - cliffs
Level 6 - mountaintops

Level 7 - tower
Level 8 - ???
Level 9 - ??????

Look at your space bar map, and note all the raft launches...

Did you get the key from the snake entrance?  If not, try looking very closely at the floor.

Either way, the ladder isn't required here.  You won't find it 'til later on.
