Hey guys, I've been messing around with the soundchip that the GB uses and I thought, "Why not make the LTTP soundtrack sound like it was on the GB?"

So here's the fruit of my efforts. I will continually update this page in the order in which songs are first heard in the game. Check back frequently, as I will try to make one song a day.

UPDATE: I managed to get this working in the actual game of Link to the Past using the MSU1 chip available in higan as well as the newly supported MSU1 version of SNES9x.  That this means is that you can hear this album play in the game instead of the regular music.

Included is the emulator that supports it, if you're unable to find it.  Let me know what you guys think.

In my opinion sounds better than the original. I somehow prefer gameboy sounds i guess...

Dude, it sounds totally cool! Definitely like as if it were the end boss of LA.

Now if it were easy to convert to midi it would be nice...

I just used a VGmusic midi as a base. >.< You could convert it to tracker if you got the instruments in there some how.

That sounds pretty good. Just one question is it possible to make the high pitched sounds just a tiny bit higher pitched and leave the low pitch as it is? or would that sound horrible?(I am asking because with a bit higher high pitch it would sound more enthusiastic.)
If not it is really very nice as it is keep it up icon_biggrin.gif

You should place all of the links in your first post, but these are coming along smoothly.

I'll make the first post more official looking later today, kinda tired atm. I also finished a few more songs of which I'll post later today.

EDIT: Added all music links that are currently done, and will update main post when more are completed.

I've continued with this project, and have been adding to it on youtube.  I plan on releasing one track per day until the album is finished.  This is to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Link to the Past.

Starting today, here's Zelda's Rescue:
