It looks like you've got a mix of files from the master and 2.50.x branches. Try cloning the repo again.

I filed an issue on this the other day: https://github.com/A...assic/issues/31

The project file under 2.50.x is calling for these files, and I suggested using the ones from the master branch, as I presumed they were identical. I'm pretty sure that the only files that he is using from 'master' are ./src/build_modules/*

Should he not be using the ones from the master branch here? If not, then he'll need the proper project file. I have the one from 2.50.1, if that will work in the interim. Otherwise, the repo either needs the proper project file, or the missing modules.

Unless he has a duplicate include path set up in VS that is adding files from the master branch?

You may want to double check the 2.50.x repo, and see what's happening.

I was wondering if my advice on using the minimal boos set-up might have been to blame. I advised that he grab that, for sanity reasons, but I don't know if it is missing anything that would result in the compiler having trouble with some of these decs. I uploaded the full boost archive, and he's trying to get it, but his connection speed is apparently even more dreadful than my own, and an 80MB download is timing out for him. :(

I can't resist... urge ..to ..make taste..less.. joke... AAAAH! Damn you DD!! Daaaaamn yoooooooooooouu!...

Great Idea! With money we get from this making a new Zelda-like game will be as easy as taping a piece of graph paper to your computer and simply drawing what you want the screen to look like! For each stretch goal of only 10 cents, you get limited undo/redo functionality as well! :P

I've actually thought about this before and came to the conclusion that kickstarter only makes sense if you're actually going to create (and sell) a commercial game in addition. Obviously the kick here would be that the engine would be a new and open source "ZC" and be free for everybody to use, but it would need some additional revenue from steam, mobile, or whatever else, just to keep people working on it long-term.

I think you're absolutely right about that. I also agree with Zoria that such a project would have to be generic (with Zelda as one "content pack" that just happens to be a widely available on third-party sites).

Ah well.

Yeah, most of the files are 2.5.x, with the exception of build modules, and some files that were missing from the src folder, such as bind.h.

Also, since ZC wasn't compiling, I tried to compile zquest, to get these errors:

@Saffith : I presume that you are using the makefile, which is what I was originally suggesting that @Dimentio use. For Widows builds, are you using NMake, gcc (via CygWin), or something else? It would be helpful to know what you are using, as in any other situation, it should also work.

I was suggesting NMake, but if it's designed for gcc, that wouldn't turnout well.
