This thread will pretty much be a summary of the entire quest progress as I go along with this project. At the moment, everything is quite incomplete as I have recently started this, but I'll be coming back to this and updating this thread once in a while.

Quick Summary of Places -
Overworld
- Nodnol Village - A small beach town located near the southwest of Hyrule. It is the current place where Link lives and where his adventure begins. There isn't anything much of interest, besides the Sanctuary to the north and the beach to the west. Every year, an annual rafting competition takes place where competitors sail the Western Sea for a variety of prizes. In this quest, the competition has reached its 20th anniversary.

- Forest of Ember - A forest to the northeast of Nodnol Village, known for having constant wildfires. It is the home of the Goriya race, though ever since Ganon has returned, most of them have gone wild, attacking any travellers passing by. The forest is also infested with Moblins and other enemies. The single place of interest here is the Gnarled Root, a sacred tree deep in the forest, which is home to one of the 8 Triforce Pieces link must collect in his journey.

- South Hyrule - This portion of Hyrule is a small hill region, serving as a southern connection to Nodnol Village and the Forest of Ember, and the eastern portions of the land. The Master's Shrine can be found here.

- North Hyrule - This serves as a northern connection to the Forest of Ember and Corrupt Valley from the eastern portions of Hyrule. There is nothing much of interest in this part of the land but there is a beach to the north with strange stone statues that have existed long before Hyrule came into fruition.

- Corrupt Valley - This valley used to be a colourful land, filled with a great variety of vegetation. However, over the years the cathedral at the centre of the valley has been spreading an unknown substance into the surroundings which converts the land into a vile desolate wasteland. With vegetation decaying, monsters have emerged. Locals at Nodnol Village and Katena Village refer to this place as the "Corrupt Valley".

- Crimson Caverns - Located under the Corrupt Valley, this vast cave system has followed a similar fate as the valley. Likewise, some similar monsters have emerged which have taken different forms to that in the valley. These caverns are essential in traversing the valley.

- Western Sea - An expansive mass of water that covers the southwestern portion of Hyrule. In this sea, there are several abandoned rafts scattered around the waters where foes rest. This is also the place where the annual rafting competition happens. The northern areas of the sea make connections to the Corrupt Valley and also contain the Cursed Waters, a bizarre place where the waters seem to go on forever despite looking like a narrow river from an outsiders perspective. On the other end of the Cursed Waters lies the Helmaic Claw, Hyrule's waterworks.

Hebra Foothills - This small region of Hyrule is the boundary between the mainland and the mountains of Hebra. There isn't too much of interest here besides a cave where the strongest warriors can battle out their previous encounters.

- Hebra (Path + Sabantha Village) - The snowy mountains of Hebra consist of three paths with Sabantha Village, home to the Sabanthans, located right in the middle. Like with Nodnol, this village has its own Elder and he is the main person to consult when trying to get into the Frosted Peak, the highest mountain in the area.

- Litora Shores - This sunny shoreline sits on the far east of Hyrule, and serves as a connection between the Yundre Wasteland and the Hebra Foothills. Locked away is the ruins of an old town that has been ransacked by Pirates. The gatekeeper is located in the same area.

- Yundre Wasteland - Also known as the "Block Desert", this desert sits in eastern Hyrule. Remnants of an ancient civilisation are found here with several massive block formations located throughout the desert. Near the top right lies the Sand Winds, a huge dungeon built with an unknown purpose.

- Katena Village - This is Hyrule's new capital after Castle Town has been destroyed. Located next to Death Mountain, this village serves as a great stopping point for travellers who wish to climb the mountain and explore further east to Yundre Wasteland and the ruins of Castle Town... if they are brave enough. Within the village is a thriving community of local residents and survivors who migrated from Castle Town. To the north of this village lies the Royal Valley.

- Royal Valley - This valley is a forgotten place located north of Katena Village. The southern portion of the valley is used as a graveyard for the village, but nobody dares go further. In the middle of the valley is the Lost Woods, a place that is haunted by spirits that send travellers in constant loops. At the very top is an old and abandoned graveyard, which sits the Forgotten Grave.

- Castle Path - This small portion of northeast Hyrule forms the crossroads between Katena Village, Yundre Wasteland, Death Mountain and Hyrule Castle Town. Now in ruins, this path used to be an essential trade route that was used extensively throughout Hyrule.

- Death Mountain - Located at the northeast of the land, next to the Castle Path, is Death Mountain, a complex volcano with a deep cave system. A lot of workers from Sabantha Village make their way here to work in the mines in hopes of getting big money. None of them dare to go near the Blazing Sanctum that's close by though...

Dungeons

- Gnarled Root - This sacred tree is a symbol of the Goriyas that live in the Forest of Ember and extends deep underground. Over the centuries, most of what has been built inside has been consumed by vegetation, some of which has blocked essential paths that must be removed. Moblins, Goriyas, Ropes and other creatures reside in this dungeon.

- Corrupt Cathedral - This cathedral was built to contain the corrupt spirits that lie within. Over the years though, the seal weakened and the corruption spread into the surrounding valley. Inside lies various traps and dark rooms that must be traversed. Stalfos, Corrupt Zols and Ghini Eaters are among some of the enemies you would find inside the cathedral.

- Helmaic Claw - The main waterworks facility of Hyrule, originally used for water filtering and the main sewage dump for most residents in the kingdom. The Helmaic Claw now lies derelict with monsters taking over, including Octoroks, Wizzrobes and Vires.

- Frosted Peak - This is the tallest peak in Hebra and it is also an icy labyrinth digging far down into the ground. The strange nature of this place has created two distinct forms of ice which will be a major obstacle. Lynels, Darknuts and Ice Keese are some of the enemies you would expect inside the peak.

- Litora Ruins - Once a vibrant village full of people, this was the largest in Hyrule. Though one day, the village was attacked by pirates for treasure and some people fled to the other villages in the land. To stop people from entering, a lock was put in place outside the village entrance, managed by a gatekeeper, and so it has been locked for several years. The village itself has some houses still intact and there is a vast cave system hiding under the town, which was revealed by the pirates. As this is now their hideout, you would expect to see plenty of pirates in this place, as well as those who didn't make it out in the form of Stalfos.

- Sand Winds - The ancient catacombs of the Yundre Wasteland reside here. Deep within this labyrinth are powerful restless spirits that will constantly pursue unsuspecting travellers. There are ways to avoid the guardians of the Sand Winds, but this will require careful manoeuvring. Darknuts, Vires and Leevers are some of the many enemies you'll find deep inside this dungeon.

- Forgotten Grave - Located at the very top of the Royal Valley, this grave appears to have a very familiar layout but there is far more than there is to the eye. Located within are plenty of dark rooms and a strange mechanism that can be controlled by something within the dungeon. You'll expect to find Moas, Wizzrobes and Gibdos within this place.

- Blazing Sanctum - This ancient sanctum sits on the west side of Death Mountain. Presumably it was used by an ancient civilisation to carry out rituals but over time, tectonics have shifted the dungeon in ways that have caused rockslides to come crashing into the sanctum. The remains of the sanctum are now dangerous, with lava spewing into all areas. Gerus, Anerus and Like Like are among the many enemies you'll find inside the sanctum.

This isn't based on the ROM hack, it's based off my first quest, if you were referring to that at least :P

Little known but widely believed fact is that Eddy's best quest is his first quest.
