Where will we go from here? Breath of the Wild has changed the face of the Zelda series. The cycle that begun with Ocarina of Time will begin anew. The next game in the series will be smaller in scale, but feature a central mechanic that stands out from the rest of the series with the real meat being the side characters. The game after that will take us on a sprawling maritime adventure across a vast ocean, uncovering secrets of a dark past. After that, they'll try to work on a more "grounded" title that, while good, will fail to escape Breath of the Wild's shadow. Then they'll turn to what they call is a "grand tale" but in reality finds way to make you revisit the same areas multiple times with some sort of gimmick involved.

The following game will then reshape Zelda yet again.

Personally there are two things i really want to see in a zelda game

First on my list would be a new full on 2D game. Not one of those bs 3d games with an over the head view, but one where you can see every pixel. I really enjoy 2d games and the art they can have. I think it would be awesome if they took many of the ideas of a 3d games, and tried to apply them to a 2d  canvass.

Another thing I would like would be a super dark zelda games. Zelda has always been targeted to most audiences, but I think it would be cool to see a super dark game where Ganan is actually wrecking havoc, and people are actually dying.
