does any body know why the mass recolor option doesn't work for me in zquest 2.50.2?

I don't see any body else posting about this problem, and I'm wondering if it is fully implemented yet even though it was added in 

build 1793.

It can be tricky to use, can you explain exactly what's happening?

well I click recolor in the tiles editor and then switch the colors in the "to" box and then click ok and nothing happens

If you're talking about when importing tiles it may have recolored but you didn't hit the key to cycle through the csets to know that it did.

click and drag colors from the "from" box to the "to" box. Every tile in the range will have it's color in "from" replaced with the color below it in "to"
