I have an idea for an optional boss fight, where you go to open a strangely-convenient treasure chest, and it attacks you. Unfortunately, a search through Spriter's Resource, DeviantArt, and Google Images didn't net me anything that would work in a Zelda game.

The chest itself is supposed to change shape and enlarge to form the boss (the chest is an immobile Like-Like enemy with 1 HP and splits on death into the boss), so there's no need to try and get it to match any existing graphics. Just that I'm using a specially-made tileset that gives the GB graphics SNES-level color depth. This means that as long as it looks like it would blend in with either the GBC games or LttP, it will work just fine for me.

Anyways, I plan on giving it either Tektite-style movement or Rope-style movement for now, so either 4-direction or left-right isometric graphics with the "mouth" open and shut will be fine as far as animation goes. Isometric would probably be easiest since it would only need two frames that I can mirror for left and right facing.

Can anybody manage this for me? I want to put this together before the Expo.

The Mimic enemy from Dragon Quest may be in the right style. You could grab a couple frames from this animation for an isometric left-right view

Mimics are in many games. Google: mimic, treasure chest, sprite.

Yeah, I know mimics are common enemies. Like I said, I tried Spriter's Resource, DeviantArt, PureZC's loose tiles database, and Google Images. I just couldn't find anything that would work easily with ZC. Elektriktoad's recommendation worked fairly well, I just had to find a program to pull individual frames out of the animation.

By the way, I forgot to say thanks for the recommendation earlier, Elektriktoad.
