like my click-bait title?

 

i'm making a moldorm style boss that is invisible. i want him to shoot fireballs, and flash when you hit him so you can see him. pretty much ganon, except that you kill him by hitting him enough instead of hitting him 3 times then shooting him. i tried, but he doesn't become visible when you hit him, and he doesn't shoot fireballs even tho i set that to his weapon. is there a way to do this without scripting? if not, how can i script this?

You need scripts. Moldorm is pretty hardcoded in ZQuest, and he can't use weapons even if you set up his weapon attribute. You'll need to use ghost.zh's weapon functions. As for making him invisible, change his sprites to empty combos, then briefly change them to the normal combos once you detect he's been hit. This is doable but may be tricky, as IIRC every segment is technically a separate enemy.
