They're pretty good. The mountain bases need grass overlays though!

Those are some really nice village screens. Nice job on the NPC.

I don't think I've seen a house built into the cliffside before in a 2D quest, surprised there are tiles for that. Cool.

I'm pretty sure they're already in Firebird, me and Supindahood made those for The Hylian Phoenix.
There's a couple of variations as well:
(Supindahood's map for said quest)
Edit: if they're not in the tileset by default, look in the extra folder from the download, it's possible they're in there.

Sorry, I was aiming that at Cukeman. Probably should have used a quote there, heh.

Made this yesterday in a sudden jump of inspiration. Thoughts?
Looks like your usual good-quality GB shots. If it's really been a while, you haven't gotten rusty. That purple stuff in the middle is unique, I don't believe I've seen it colored like that before. (That's the bubbly lava-like stuff, isn't it?)
Also, I think you need to remove all those speedometer images from your sig

Yeah, it's lava. I've already got a mountain done for this project, Skkyna Heights. The difference is that in Skkyna, the mountains are cold and destroyed from an ancient civilization that lived there eons ago. Here, in Evertide, the palette is based on an attempt of a sunset mood (thus why I named it Evertide). However, I want to combine natural elements such as grass and water being in a mountain with lava, because your generic everyday mountains have been done to death. To be honest, I'm not sure what I'm even going to do here, yes, there's going to be a main dungeon, but what I'm referring to is, the background and history of this area...
I'll see these details later. Hopefully when I get some actual progress done, I'll announce the quest project here in the forums. But for now, it's only private to myself.

Well, whatever history you come up with, the place is looking pretty nice regardless.
And yeah, best to wait until there's a solid chance of completion before announcing anything.

So I'm trying to look into using GB for real. However, I want to "modern" it up a bit, with easier grass and a little bit more modern techniques, similar to PR or DoR.
Here's a test screen. Critiques are welcome, but I'm more so looking for advice on how to spruce up the grass a bit. I want to keep it similar, as well as use the grass in a similar fashion of DoR, used only when necessary. So no "white/dead-ish" grass basically. But it does look incredibly plain with only flowers. Can anyone help me?

Crystals, possible bombchu enemy sprite. Not too sure on the overall screen layout right now.
Jared: I'm not entirely sure where you're going with your revisions, or what you mean by 'easier' when gb grass is already really easy to work with. Maybe just stick with a pure green grass tile if you do want something that uses grass details more sparingly?
