Fun game, but level 6 is killing me. Are we supposed to have the ladder before level 6, and what will kill the boss?

The Ladder is in Level 6, just east of Boss, enter from the west.
Treat Boss as a Gohma.

Nice quest....Had a hard time finding the 5 heart pieces, though. I just beat the quest with only 14 hearts total, which meant that Levels 5 and 6 got a bit tedious hacking away at Darknuts and Wizzrobes with that blasted White Sword (and that whip-looking thing).

I found 3 out of 5 extra heart pieces. Everything else I believe I got.

Thanks, Ford Prefect. I'm having a lot of trouble with the patra in level 9. Is there a blue ring in the quest? Don't see how it can be beat without one.

Blue ring is in level 4. Can't remember if it's up by the Boss or down by the Entrance.
If it's by the entrance, go south from the Map room through the passage, otherwise go east before the Boss room.

Red Ring is in level 9.

Note also that, unlike any other Patra you're used to fighting, you're not supposed to use the Sword on this one.

Use the bow. Shoot the center Patra when the mini-Patras are expanded out from the center.

Thanks again to you both - I got the blue ring, figured out the patra before I saw the new message, and beat the game. Real fun quest, Saffith!

Do you know where the Shop is that sells the Red Candle? Just north of there.
Or where Level 9 is? Just east of there.
It's at the very north, a bit eastward.

Don't remember how to get there without opening the quest back up.

I'm having a fun time with this quest so far, but I'm stuck on level 5. I can't seem to find a way to the boss. :S
