Any tips for getting by the crazy resetting clock area in the Island Temple?

 

There's a certain steed you can utilize which increases your speed and lets you beat the pace of the race against time.

shouldn't lava burn up an wooden step ladder? lol

Now I'm at these two areas where the both have broken bridges over lava. One has blocks covering an exit to the left. The other has a single suspended block that covers a narrow shaft. Using some quick moves, I ran across the bridge before it could fall apart, dropped the ladder, and jumped up there but I cannot push the block down.

I did, in fact, try that, but then just kept running into the same problem on the next screen, a screen where I had to split the two characters up.  I'll just keep trying.  Thanks!

I made it an underwater area. There's this one room that I can't seem to pass. It has three floor switches and one moveable block.

I tried the Cane to create a block to set on one, but that didn't work.

That puzzle relies quite a bit on timing your partner and the cane to have all 3 pressed at the same time.

You can use the pushable block to hold either your partner or the cane in place, if you wish to make it easier.

This quest is extremely impressive o_o
I just wish the scripts were a bit less resource intensive, my pc for ZC is kind of crappy >.<
I will play it after Yuurei. But I have a doubt, why the day/night system is so faaast? It's a bit weird.

It's fast so that you don't have to wait too long for time based events.

I see. But wouldn't be better if there is some item to switch the time, then? So, slower day/night and some item to switch the time. Anyway, nothing major, it just surprised me how wonky the day/night feels in a quest with so much care. The palette changes very faaast xd

There is an item to change the time of day, but it can be frustrating before getting item.

Well, I've tried having Link by the door and Zelda by the pull cable. As soon as she releases it I try to have Link use the hookshot to bring her over before the door closes, but no luck.

Oh, you mean that room? Try leaving a switch hook block right in front of the door.

I'm starting with west Calatia, the quest is kind of weird (too manyyyyyyy scripted stuff, almost crazy) but very interesting and fun also xD Lots of discovery in the overworld. I think it gets better and better and more interesting as I progress.

There is a lot of scripted stuff, yes. However, that means it's more like Zelda 1, where you see an item and are like "oh what does this do".
