Thanks for that.

It's been a few years since I last played a ZC quest, so a lot of those built in items are new to me..

Well, yeah. You kinda have to go through he lost overworld to beat the bane and access Boneside and Stalfos :P I have an item count of 324, and I've beaten the Battletower, collected all the maps and compasses, beat Stalfos/Boneside, defeated both top secret bosses (Staltoon and Abeisans) and collected both the T-Shirt and the level 2 Stone of Agony. I've beaten every BS dungeon, beaten every Outlands dungeon, beaten every 3rd Quest dungeon, beaten every Dark World dungeon, beaten every Light World dungeon, got through all the FRAGMENT levels, beaten every FINAL Trial (Final Water, Final Earth, Final Fire, Final Wind, Final Ice, Final Lightning, Final Nature, Final Spirit, Final Light, Final Dark, Final Order, and Final Chaos), and I beat the final Legend Ganon and rescued Zelda.

So, I'd like to know what the level 2 stone of agony does, and I'd like to know if there is anything else I can do. I'd also like to know where I can get the seed for my particular randomization.

Where is the Big Bomb Shop at?

I believe it's near the top of the overworld. Not sure though.

Time for a bit of gravedigging here, but I think I may have found an actual bug when replaying this quest.

I'm currently going through the FRAGMENT dungeons, and the item in the M dungeon appears to be a "Kill all Enemies" item, which didn't count towards my total. Is this some kind of oversight? Here's the image of it:

Every time I return to this cellar, the item respawns.

That is a debug item that spawns when there is a problem, specifically it is trying to spawn an item you already have the highest level of.

I know someone posted a similar bug like this a while back, but didn't give additional feedback. If you could tell me what seed you used and what options you set, I can look into what item was supposed to appear there and probably fix this bug at last. Or if you picked one of the presets, then the preset might have had an item appear one too many times.

Also posting a screenshot of your inventory can help, especially if you continue to collect the items from the other main locations. All I need to figure out is what item was supposed to appear and I can track down where things have gone wrong.

Sadly this might make 100% impossible for this seed until the bug is fixed, depending on what is at fault. Thanks for finding it and giving some information about it though, that should help narrow it down a bit.

I don't think I used a particular seed for this, just used the custom randomisation. I have no clue how to find the seed from that, if I can. The custom settings I used were the following, if it helps:

Don't place Triforce pieces evenly - No

Shuffle L9 prizes with other items - Yes

Shuffle Magic Key with other items - Yes

Place items more evenly - No

Place useful items in low levels - No

Shuffle expansions with other items - Yes

And here was my inventory after I found the bugged item:

If you had to enter a seed, you would have been taken to a screen to enter a series of numbers, and an additional warp would be in the first cave to view it at any time.

While I have a guess on the bug, nothing seems to reproduce it, which makes me think there is something else going on with the logic.

Do you recall what your starting item was?

Also, try to keep going and get up to 323 items collected and then post the inventory again so I can confirm what item is not showing up. If the Golden Stomp Boots don't show up, then it is the bug I'm suspecting... somehow. If not, then back to the drawing board.

Oh I see, well I didn't enter any seed so I guess I can't do much there. I also don't remember what my starting item was, so yeah sorry about that.

I'll keep it going then and I'll come back when I get 323 items.

Edit: Made it up to 323 items, and here's the inventory:

Turns out it wasn't the Golden Stomp Boots but definitely was that B-button item next to the Ocarina.

I think that's where the red ocarina would be.  At least it's not required for anything.

BUG CONFIRMED!

Starting with Chakram, Lantern, or Ball and Chain as first item and Sword as second item made 6 swords placed by mistake (and replacing a different item that was supposed to appear). Bug had a 3% chance of occurring, due to how starting items are determined.

A fix for Randomizer Alpha and Randomizer Outlands (as both use almost the same logic) will be uploaded soon has been uploaded, and should be on the database shortly.

Thanks for finally putting all the posts of random debug items appearing to rest (I hope).

As additional thanks, both Randomizer Alpha and Randomizer Returns have had the lava tiles updated to the better version used in the Pure Koten tileset, which also means lava now shows up in dark rooms in Outlands. This also gives a visual clue that you're playing on the most up to date version. Enjoy!
