There isn't much you can do to make a quest a "furry quest" besides having furry characters...unless you want to be stereotypical and make the main objective YIFF ALL THE THINGS!

a terrible alternitive to a boss fight.
if ya can't beat 'em, yiff 'em.

I saw this earlier with about three posts in it, and I new it was only a matter of hours before this thread went from uneasy to completel s*** storm haha.

Sorry, but I just find it funny that the term "furry" makes people so uptight. It's almost like they think this online psuedorace really matters. That not withstanding, my second thought about this quest was you intentionally used the term "furry" to gain attention icon_razz.gif

As far as the quest itself, the ability to choose different classes/ races from the get-go is an interesting concept to introduce to other Zelda ingredients (I say this cause adding this system would radically change a pretty big core aspect pf Zelda, IMO).

...I honestly almost made this. No lie. I was thinking about how to do it in DoR.

I don't disagree with you that it should stop – I was making what I assumed to be a harmless joke with my post, guess it turned into something more – but sometimes it's best to just ignore this stuff. I understand that as a moderator it's your duty to prevent potential drama, but trolling stops on its own if nobody responds, and at the moment you seem to be the only one responding...I understand it's a touchy subject for you, but sometimes it's better to let the fire smolder out on its own. By showing that you take offense, you're letting them (I suppose I might even say us, although I'd rather not be associated) win.

You realize when a staff asks you to stop, you stop, right? You don't keep going on, joke or not. It's disrespectful.

Honestly, I'm disappointed in the way several people here acted in regards to said topic. Is no one mature enough to stop themselves from bashing or making fun of a group like that in public, a group, I might add, has a fairly noticeable presence on this board itself? I swear...

And Pokemonmaster, that's beside the point; when you're told to stop, you stop. It's common sense. Please, can we get back on track with the topic? icon_neutral.gif

I felt uneasy while posting this topic, in fear that this would happen. Hence the reason I actually posted it icon_heh.gif. (BTW, my corrections to your spelling mistakes are in bold).

I never intended the title to generate all this, unwanted, attention. I just wanted to throw something diffrent out for a quest project, that was all.

Judging on how Atoment of Time went, I'd probably need to have a collab. I know that Fausch is a candidate, but I need this idea to be cemented before I actually embark on it to reduce the chance of failing it. I know that it needs an extensive amount of scripting, mainly for the new weapons and items I have in mind and an extensive amount of spriting to do, mostly for the character sprites. As for the music, I'm probably going to be using ones from the Zelda series and especaily those from SS (That's if they are available).

I just find having the quest named after "furies" when there will be a fair share of other races is rather confusing; yes I know you said its a tentative title but still "Edlin Quest Idea" would've been a better tentative title. icon_shrug.gif

Honestly you should have a bit of the desert in SS too. It was the coolest area in the game IMO.

If I was making fun of anyone, it'd also be myself. Since I have also been involved in the furry community a bit. I mean, look at my name: Darkflamewolf! I even have a tail somewhere stashed in my closet. >_>
So yes, I do make fun of the furry community, but also full knowing that I am/once was/still am(?!?) a part of it. So, its like making fun of myself too and knowing full well that I'm doing it. So if I made offense, I'm sorry.

Kind of reminds me: I almost made a Star Fox quest... thing... once. Rather, it was going to be a sort of Star Fox 3, keeping with the continuity of the SNES games, but whatever, that's hardly on-topic here.

As for the game... Sounds like it could be very interesting, if done right. I'd definitely listen to kurt91's suggestions, with different races having specific abilities. I'm not really fond the idea of having all sorts of different races just for the sake of it being furry. The novelty of it runs out pretty quickly, ya know?

It's a gray area.

Although PureZC has a small-yet-dedicated population of anthromorpics, it is, as a whole, far too immature to approach the quest without undue ridicule.

Also, last time we had a thread remotely like this, bad people got banned and have yet to return. Go ahead and let the same happen to you: I won't have any sympathy, because you'll have identified your alliance.

EDIT: I just popped in this thread to offer my two cents. Afterward, I looked up and saw...

Like you didn't expect it? Come on, Mike. It's just like I said originally. PureZC and Maturity do not go hand in hand.

Actually, you might get a completely different response posting this on AGN. Folks there tend to be a lot older, and at least a little more mature. It has also overcome its previous reputation: the worst thing you'll find there is adbots occasionally.

SUPPLEMENTAL EDIT: In case the spry, youthful authorities mistake my post's intent, I should also add that the other side is not entirely innocent here, either. Most of the users who post threads like these do so seemingly without regard of the consequences. Most of those users typically aren't even aware of the board's immature demographic, though they have been on the board for awhile. Guys, it's like making a thread about religion or politics. There's just no rule about it (and really, it would look silly to make one.)

Bringing that up over and over again won't do any good either. Nobody was speaking about maturity or the "grow a thicker skin" blathering that's been so popular and then you have to move the focus of this thread that's already been brought back on track to namely that. Now, this thread is pretty much doomed, because everybody will feel the need to let s*** hit the fan once again.

When I began writing, DFW's (relevant but not immature) post was the newest, not Beta Link's.

Also, as has been brought up, Zelda is pretty furry as it is. Such a quest probably wouldn't look a whole lot different from a normal quest.

This thread is doomed, and there are too many people contributing to its problems to keep it open, which includes staff being disrespected. Locked.

Sad. Pathetic.
