I was able to get bomb upgrade but am missing a key...I can't get past Jiller's Jungle with ony 3 hearts...I keep dying...any help?

I assume you got the bomb upgrade in Jiller's Jungle for 10 rupees? In that case, you've been to the room with blocks in the shape of a P. Go east from that room. (I forget if it's a bombable wall or a walk-through wall.) You can get the boss key there. Then go to the northeast corner and you can get through the lockblock there to face the boss... who is a Gleeok, and hard, and best handled by getting there with full health and shooting swordbeams at him from the left side for as long as you can.

The prize at the end is the Lens of Truth, which is of great help throughout the quest but not IMMEDIATELY required. If this is too hard for you, try level 1, Crimson's Canyon, first. To find it, exit Jiller's Jungle, go south one screen (to the maze), slash the flames, and then walk into the center of the mountain wall.

TY...BTW, I picked up something like white paper in level 1, but nothing appeared in my inventory) and 2 keys....I read I don't get the ladder before level 4 but did I miss the candle or is it a bug?

The blue candle is in level 1, towards the center of the map. I don't know what the "white paper" is that you're referring to (unless you mean the map?)... what player are you using? You should use the 2.10 player for this quest.

Besides the candle, other items you can get on your first visit to level 1 are the...

Using 2.10...it's in the room with a G..looks like white crumpled paper or sand...I can't insert the snapshot

I only got the first of those things...forget it...found candle and moving through level 1, but still don't know what that was...

Oh wait, I remember now. It looks like a pile of ash. Yeah, those don't seem to do anything. I think they denote locations where items existed in the original version of this quest, but were since moved to other places. Don't know for sure as I never played the first version.

So, in short, don't worry about those ash piles (and you'll see more throughout the quest): they're not a bug, they're a "feature."

Probably not. Level 2 has enough keys for all of its doors. As long as you get them all, you will "get back" the key you brought over from level 3.

The real problem is level 3 itself. See my post upthread about not unlocking the southern door in the room full of mummies/shooting statues. You'll also need to bring over an extra key from somewhere (I recommend "A Casual Path" minidungeon) to reach the Raft. At the end of level 3, you'll still HAVE that one extra key (long as you don't unlock that one door), and so won't be blocked off from getting through the Casual Path itself.

Well I'm not happy enough with changes to officially release an update, but here's the most recent private build that does add the key back into level 3. When I get done with a few other changes I'll officially submit an updated file.

Where can i buy medicine without using the ladder or the raft? I do have the letter.

Do I have to kill the gleeok in level 3 to get the raft? If so is it possible to get the white sword without the raft or ladder?

I cant kill that 4 headed gleeok in level 3 without medicine and the white sword.

The white sword is in level 1, and yes, you can get it without the raft or the ladder. You can't buy medicine until after getting the raft (and yes, you need to kill the Gleeok in level 3 in order to get said raft). But the white sword will make that possible.

A tip for finding the white sword...

You need to walk through a wall in the northern part of the dungeon. Keep checking the north wall of rooms up at the top of the map. You'll also need 5 hearts, but given that you have the level 1 HC, there are more than enough HCPs accessible with bombs/candle/bracelet to reach the 5-heart threshold.

Ok level 8 did not have 2 entrances. The final boss was quite the pain in level 8. Make sure to bring red medicine and hte 3rd sword.

Also I think there is some sort of bug because in the level where you go get the 4th sword on the final row when you come up from the stairs link is invisible making his sword useless.

I think I finally have most of the continue screen bugs fixed. Also added an escape hatch from the red ring area in case you somehow head there early. Very minor edit to the over world that will probably be unnoticeable.

So I'll probably add this update here soon.

I could add a hidden key shop somewhere possibly, but now with level 3's keys straightened out there should be no problems with keys.

No promises, but I may even make a difficulty balance at some point as well to make the quest a bit easier. Very doubtful as I'm trying to get away from this quest completely since it was originally only meant to be just a difficulty upgrade for the original quest, but more or less I wanted to try some other ideas.

The invisible Link bug is something that I know seems to be caused when playing on version 2.5 I have not experienced it when played on 2.1 which is what the quest is made with. So I'm thinking that maybe a ZC player compatibility bug.

Which is the first item that will be available to me in level 9 the silver arrow or reflector shield

also in which part of level 9 is it in the first part where I burn the bush or the 2nd part where I bomb the rock?

I have seemingly been everywhere I can think of. My guess is I get the reflector shield first and then use that against those mirror robes to get the silver arrow. So which level 9 is the reflector shield at?
